Bwahahaha! Not for me. I pretty much can't wear my jeans from when I POAS. I'm sure mine is probably worse than a lot of others just because I have had so many babies. But I have seen some cute little first time mama 6 week bumps. But everyone is different. I was showing at 4 weeks, but most people are popping at least a little by 6-8 weeks.

Im sorry to say but it is bloat your little peanut is even not that big as a peanut. Your uterus is still tucked away behind your pelvic bone You do have a belly because of pregnancy symptom ( bloat ) But is definitly not your baby thats showing. So this is a discussion that will never end!
Bloated here as well! My mom touched it the other day and said : ooooh you little one. Im like: mom.. Thats my bloat that your porring.. i can't wait for my babybelly!
Lurking from Nov15, and I hit 17 weeks today and just barely started getting an actual baby bump. Bloat comes on quick but for most, especially first timers, it will take a while before it's all uterus and baby!

Some of it is bloat but some of it is totally your body knowing what to do when you've already had a baby. I totally have a bump going on, I'll take a picture of it when I have a chance. This is my third baby (fourth pregnancy if you include my miscarriage) and at this point my body just knows what to do. It feels like my muscles just let go and my body is getting ready for the baby it knows is growing in there.

This is her 8th pregnancy so it makes sense that her body will go back to baby mode really quickly. Even though it's not baby belly yet it doesn't mean it's just bloat... nor does her belly look anything like a bloated one.
Well, I can feel the top of my fundus starting to peek over the top of my pubic bone, so I figure it is my body assuming the position. And bloat or baby, its still a pregnancy bump.

I'm always intrigued by this debate and the notion that ones uterus always stays tucked behind the pubic bone. I think far too many women cling to the notion of normal.
For what it's worth, I have only had a string of miscarriages and never given birth, yet my midwife has noted that my fundus measures about 14 weeks (aka, it's past my pubic bone) Even so my stomach is flat as I am rather tall and toned, but I can see how a mom with less than toned stomach muscles and a proclivity for quick growth would indeed "show" sooner.
Yes, baby is tiny, but that doesn't negate the potential that the bump is truly due to uterine size.
I can feel the top of my fundus above my pubic bone already. It doesn't matter if it's baby or not, it's still caused by the baby (whether it is bloat, uterus, ab weakness due to previous pregnancy or whatever). I am as big at 6 weeks as I was at 12+ weeks. It's happening because I am pregnant, therefore it is a baby bump.
Here is my not even 8 week bump. I definitely don't look like this when I'm not pregnant! I've just been telling everyone I'm pregnant because there is no hiding it at this point.
@magnumJ Didnt i say indead you can call it showing because it is from the pregnancy.. In my opinion you cant call it a babybump if it is not caused by the baby ( but true other symptoms )
Like i said a discussion that will never end. Everyone has another opinion about this, and whe should let them have.

Sorry didnt wanted to cause any "dear gods"
It's not hurting anyone and it does not affect you if someone else calls their bump a baby bump. It is caused by the baby, even if it is bloat. That's not an opinion; that is a fact. There was absolutely no reason to bring this up.
Im sorry, next time im gonna keep my opinion to myself if it does cause such reactions and feelings. I dont think im affecting or harming anyone by saying what i said

The only reason I responded was because your original post said it was bloat, which is not the case. You're certainly not harming anyone but you can't blame them for being a bit annoyed.
I found an app called cinemama and you can take daily photos and turn it into a movie! The app is created by the March of dimes. I haven't tried it yet, but looks neat. It has a calendar for each daily photo!
I am 8 weeks and I am not going to be able to hide my pregnancy much longer! I read that even though the baby is only the size of a raspberry the uterus is the size of a small melon. This being my 4th I know that my body is already kicked into preggo mode to be ready for baby to grow. It's amazing how our bodies just know what to do and some do it earlier. We are a support system for one another and these threads should stay this way. I joined a birth group again because the women in my last one (July 2009) were a huge help! There were not as many hateful responses but there were some who spoke medical facts. We are all dealing with the same thing here. Let's hold each other up because thei may be the only support some have during their pregnancy.... I will post a pic later.
So nice to see photos! I felt like I was gaining too much weight suddenly, because I felt huge for being only 8 weeks along. Good to know its bloat and I am not the only one experiencing this! Thanks ladies for sharing your photos!

This bloating bump is unreal. I feel like a beached whale!
Then I have some bad news for you... this is going to get a lot worse if you feel like a beached whale now. Wait until you can't roll over without help.
