Is it normal for one of the small bumps around your nipple to have a little blood come out?

I noticed a bump around the size of a small pea under the outside side bump on my nipple. I squeezed it or put pressure on it and blood came out.. Not a crazy amount but I still don't know if it's okay or not.. :/

    From the Montgomery Tubercles? Uh... i think so. I think this happened to me a few weeks ago. I couldn't figure out where the blood came from. I woke up with it on my nightshirt. Just a very small amount. So while it looked like boob blood, i just assumed it was a nosebleed (I got that symptom) because "boob blood" didn't make sense.

    I didn't think of it again until i saw this. 

    It might be! It might be a pimple too, masquerading as a Montgomery tubercle. 

    Ask your doc to be safe though. I'll do the same now that you've reminded me.

    Yes it is totally normal. I actually had an extremely painful skin tag grow on my actual nipple (not areola) and it became a blood blister from running on my bra. I ended up putting a bandaid on it for a couple days and it ended up popping.

    If your nervous, chat with your Dr. These are just some "awesome" pregnancy side effects no one tells you about.
