Anyone else experience a subchorionic hemorrhage?

I went to the ER yesterday for bleeding, dr. said I have a subchorionic hemorrhage. I'm healthy and blip is healthy with a heartbeat of 124 bpm! From what I've read these things clear up on their own and women go on to having a healthy pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced this?

I apparently have one, but haven't had any bleeding as yet, it was seen on an early ultrasound
  • I currently have a small one. It was "hit" when my husband and I had sex and I was bleeding after. Went to get it checked out and the baby was fine just some pink spotting and brown discharge but it's gone already!

  • Thanks ladies! Anytime bleeding happens it's alarming.
  • Yep, I had one with my second pregnancy. It was gone by 16 weeks.

  • @VannyBrown, My friend had SCH and blogged about it on her blog.  I am not sure if the bump doesn't allow us to share websites but she went through the process and talked about it on her blog here: https://mamainstincts.com/the-day-i-bled-and-thought-i-lost-my-baby-a-sch-diagnosis/

She also talks sense about bed rest and some of the other things she had to do because of SCH as I recall in her blog.
  • I had one with my last pregnancy. Very heavy bleeding for 3 days. After that everything was normal and no big deal. Delivered happy and healthy!

  • I had one during my last pregnancy... 6 years ago and everything cleared up and my baby girl was just fine!

I had one with my DD. It was a very scary experience. Went into ER @ 6w4d with major bleeding (change pad every hour for 4hrs), everyone expected a miscarriage. Found a heartbeat, but with only 33% attachment no one thought she'd stick. Bed rest for two weeks. We still consider ourselves very lucky.

It's not as uncommon as I had originally thought. Just take things easy and try not to stress. (I know it's impossible not to stress, but try.)

    Keep us posted!
  • They haven't used these words to describe what I had but I think I did... On my last ultrasound at 6 weeks the nurse said there was a patch of old blood where my uterus had been bruised. I'd had some bleeding the week before so it looked like that's what is was- I haven't had any spotting for over 2 weeks now so I think my body (hopefully) must have just re-absorbed it which was what the nurse said would probably happen.
I have rested a lot- doc didn't advise this particularly but it can't do any harm to take it easy x
  • Thanks ladies! I go tomorrow for follow up, so FX!
