Sooo on the fence about breastfeeding already because it's sooo uncomfortable and also have extra super sensitive nipples now due to previous augmentation... anyone else? Any tips or experience? Does pumping hurt?
I'm a FTM and I'm very worried about the same thing. I went through the nipple for my augmentation 9 years ago and my nipples were never the same. Pain is the normal feeling I get when my husband touches them. My friend recommended to get nipple shields and a good breast pump. She said if breast feeding is too unbearable, try the shield and pumping because that will still get the job done but with much less pain...just a little more inconvenient. Worth looking into. Lactation specialists can help with that too. Just try not to worry about it too much. Buy the shields and pump so you have them ready if you need them and then let your "future self" worry about it when the time comes.
