Heartbeat?!

I am a first time mommy-to-be and I just wanted to share.... I am due Feb. 10 (6 weeks and 1 day) and I had my first ultrasound today! I didn't get to hear baby's heartbeat but I got to SEE it.... It had to be the most beautiful thing ever! Any one else get to hear or see baby's heartbeat? When do you normally get to hear it?

  • I think most people have doctors that find them between 8 and 10 weeks. Depends on your doctor and yes, it can be difficult to find them to hear at first sometimes. It's completely normal to only be able to see it and not hear it this early on.

  • Same thing I had a U/S at 5 week 1 day because of pain an then again 6 week 1 day to recheck and we saw it to. Baby measured 5 week 5 days so was just to early to hear it!
  • I just had my second ultrasound on Wednesday at 6w5d. I measured 6w1d and the tech saw the heartbeat but said it was too faint to measure it. I hope that's normal
  • With my first I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and didn't see anything but heard it at my 12 week scan. With this pregnancy I had my ultrasound at what I though was 6 weeks but I was only 5 weeks and 3 days but saw a little heartbeat
  • I have my first u/s Tuesday so I will be 7 1/2 weeks (I'm thinking it will actually be more like 7). I'm so anxious. I just want to see it already!

  • My ultrasound was at 6w6d and I was blessed to see and hear the baby's heartbeat.
  • So sweet!! I just had mine yesterday right at 7 weeks and it was amazing. I can't stop watching the video we recorded. I can't wait to go back soon!
  • I've had 2 u/s so fat because of some bleeding issues and have not been lucky enough to see a heartbeat yet. (My levels are all good btw.) I go in for another u/s
