Any ways to get labor moving before induction date?

I'm being induced Monday, but my body has been contracting every 8 min since Wednesday. Is there anyway to encourage this to turn into labor? Doctor already stripped membranes.. any other suggestions. I don't want to have a longer labor than needed with the induction if my body just needs a jump start..

Rub your belly clockwise for 1 minute then do deep lunges for 3 minutes..... And repeat.

What happens if you rub counter clockwise?!
  • I'm going to stand on my head for three hours I heard that works. =))
  • Also I made a delicious taco bake last night for dinner. You should try that.
  • Try washing some pots with Dawn dish soap. It has to be dawn though or it won't work.

Just relax, nest, take a walk, have sex, go to Target, sit on a ball, and maybe try to get a good night's sleep.
  • The weekend before I went into labor I had sex, raked the front yard, played catch, walked around the block, had Mexican & went swimming. I think being active in general helped. Or, at least didn't hurt.
  • Did your provider talk to you about baby's positioning? It sounds like your baby could be "sunny side up" with those kinds of contractions for that long. Look at the spinningbabies website to focus on optimal positioning.
