Newbie Intro

Hi Ladies,

I'm back on tb after a break since having dd almost 2 years ago. We did 1 round of unmonitored clomid (50mg) for our first and luckily it worked.

I am currently seeing a re for low sperm motility with dh. My regular ob wouldn't give me clomid again and told us to see a re for help. We are going through our first round of ivf after 1 unsuccessful attempt with uiu. We could have done more rounds of uiu but figured we would go ahead with ivf and not waste any more money or time with uiu.

We officially started the ivf process (egg retrieval) Monday and I am taking 225mg of follistim each night. I go back Friday, Sunday and Tuesday. What a crazy ride this is going to be.

    Welcome. I am new here too. I did IVF a couple years ago but didn't know about this board then. Next month I am going back to my RE to try again for LO#2.

    You are right. It is a crazy ride but hopefully it will be worth it. Good Luck to you!!

    Welcome @emorda.  Best of luck with your cycle.  I don't know if you had time to read the sticky post at the top of the board, but it's considered not in good form to intro so late into your treatment cycle.  Some of us have been here for 2+ years and it is very difficult to see newbies join in the middle/end of their cycle, or during their 2WW and have success and leave us.

    FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    IUI #6 -Follitism IUI cycle converted to IVF and back to IUI-4 mature, 3 maybe mature = BFP!!   DS Born 9/2014
    TTC#2 
    IVF #1 9/15 Antagonist- 19 R 1F (Frozen day 1 @ 2PN stage) Diagnosed with SER aggregates in 13/19 eggs after failed fertilization
    IVF #2 11/15 Antagonist w/ICSI  (Higher stims & Letrosole added last minute on stim day 7)- 39R, 24M (20/24 SER free), 15F (14/15 SER free & all frozen @ 2PN stage) 
    FET#1 Cultured all 16- 2pn embryos to day 5- transferred 1 good hatching blast and 1 early blast on 1/28- None to freeze - beta 2/5

    @Frenchteachermama and @Flamingemu I did read the sticky post at the top but it was 11pm and I may have been half asleep - hence I put uiu and not iui.

    As I mentioned, I haven't been on tb in a while (maybe 1.5 years +), this my first time back and I wanted to introduce myself ASAP and not be a lurker since I would like to join in.

    OP, the sticky says wait for your introduction until after a failed cycle or before, well before you are planning a new cycle. How would we all feel if this IVF cycle is successful and you announce your pregnancy in three weeks. It would suck. And it would be rude of you. hey I know I just intro'd, but I'm ktfu, go me, suck it 2ifers.

    Hence us telling all the nebs lately to please read the sticky..
