GI problems and elevated blood work- should I report to my OB

I've had some GI issues for a while now and they've recently gotten worse while pregnant. I have sudden vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and attacks that rush me to the er. My dr hasn't been concerned since it's not affecting the baby, she's been checked on each time and doing fine. I reported back to my GI dr as I put everything on hold while pregnant, he ran some blood work to find I have elevated/abnormal ESR & c reactive protein levels. He cannot further indicate what's going on until I deliver my baby but he did not say to notify my OB. Is this of concern? Will it cause any problems and should I report it?

Those are both markers of inflammation and can be increased because of pregnancy, infection, or whatever is going on with you GI system (sounds like irritable bowel disease?). You probably have nothing to worry about, but it's always best to let the OB know whenever you have labs done of any kind.
