Work in progress

Hey all,
I was thinking it could be interesting to see some before and middle and after pictures of the things you are doing for the little ones.
I just finished for the day with painting the nursery and all though painting is not a difficult task it's major physical project for a preagnet woman. The room was blue before and I was just not feeling it. So now is "Swiss coffee" (apparently switch people like a lot of milk in there coffee?) I still have to go over some corners and I should be done for now. Next week I will stencil a birch forest on one of the walls. :D

Today's hard work is paying off :)
This is the wall where the baby crib will go
  • I'm jelly! We don't have space for a nursery, but if we did, I'd want it to look a lot like yours! My theme would be totoro. I've seen some extremely adorable totoro nursery setups and would love one of my own. Great job! Love the stencil, looks amazing

I love Totoro and I have a little plush toy. I want to get a bigger one. :)
  • That looks amazing! Where did you get the stencil? We're moving into our own apartment in July (*fingers crossed*) and I'm hoping the landlord will let us paint. I wasn't thinking we could have a nursery since there's no space in the place we're at now, but we found a 2 bedroom we can afford, so I can't wait to go nuts with it!

I got the stencil from this website - https://m.cuttingedgestencils.com
Warning: you will pull your hair out while doing this.

We just had our nursery painted over the weekend and I can't wait to start building our crib and decorating! Walls are dark grey and all the decor is bright colors to contrast the far walls! I hope it turns out as good as I picture in my mind!

These are pictures of the room painted with nothing else done yet!

Working hard today on the crib's tufted head boards. I am coming back right now from the city with some sparkling fabric. :) I hope I'll finish this today.
And the bear paintings will go up on he wall.

A lot of crying and cursing has resulted in one tufted side. I just need to spray it down so that it can tighten up and I'm done for the day!!! Next side next week.

Finished painted his wall hangings, crib and changing table put together. Also painted a black and white stripped bookshelf
  • Just purchased a new home and had lots to do before moving in.. New flooring, light fixtures and painting is done! We're going with dark furniture and then adding some pops of orange
  • I'm so impressed with all that you ladies have done! We're still trying to wrap up our kitchen reno (i.e. finish the backsplash) and then we'll finally be able to move onto DS1's new room, since DS2 will just be moving into the nursery.
  • Ours is coming along!! We just need to put in flooring now :).

I painted the dresser in our nursery and bought some cute ceramic knobs with different prints on them! I think it turned out pretty cute!
  • Your pattern is awesome! :)>-
My hubby and I painted the nursery and got our crib in along with a dresser and a bookcase we had :) we also redid the closet from ikea - best idea ever.
We're going with Adventure Time theme - his idea. So the walls are a cream and lime green color. We'll be using pink as our accent color. Im also painting lady reinicorn over the crib and BMO over the changing table (which is the dresser). And I'm hunting for some adventure tine plush toys for a custom mobile.
I'd post some pictures but the thing is not letting me.
  • So jealous of all the gorgeous nurseries! My nursery is FINALLY ready for Sheetrock, but we have to hang the Sheetrock, tape it, mud, then sand before painting. It's so frustrating when i can't do it myself n hubs works 12 hr days Mon-Fri so is too tired to work during the week. I feel like we are crawling at a snail's pace!!!
