I'm 2cm dilated and 80% effaced since Wednesday appointment (37+1 today) but I know that means absolutely nothing.... she can come tonight or she can come in 2 weeks! Dr is guessing she'll make her appearance in 2 weeks, so I have my fingers crossed.
My Wednesday appointment I was exactly 37 weeks but baby is all the way down 75% effaced but not dilated... Ugh I'm so ready for this baby to come I'm in so much pain
It's neat to see where everyone is right now.. I'm 37 weeks today.. I had to be induced with first (horrible experience) and my 2nd I had to have my membranes swept. None of the first two I even STARTED showing signs of baby coming..so I'm so very hopeful that I can go with no help from doctor's. I have been experiencing horrible contractions and lower back pain that accompany them for a little over a month now and was checked twice with zero progress. I keep hearing from the doctor's; why would you think you'd go early, you've carried your other pregnancies to full term and over?? I'm like.. what does that mean?? Because I've never experienced the contractions and pain prior to due date..that's why I think that way. She was not going to check me yesterday.. I told her no.. check me. I know something is different. Low n behold I was correct!! And baby is locked n loaded on position..
Saw the doc Monday was 37+5 and no dilation and didn't even mention effacement..was a little disappointed I don't mind him cooking longer but hope he comes on or around his due date I want to avoid induction. Hopefully this Monday we have made some progress at nearly 39weeks!
I am 38+1 and I just went to the doctor today...absolutely nothing. No dilation and he didn't mention anything about effacement and I'm not positive what that means lol He did say we will just have to be patient, so I don't think shes coming anytime soon, she must like it in there
I'm 35 +4 weeks, my doctor said I am not dilated at all, but 50 percent effaced and a -3 position. My doctor recommended that I get a yoga ball to sit on to encourage him to move down. Has anyone else heard of that before?
35+3 weeks doctor said she is making her way down and I am 1cm but still thick. I just really hope I go into labor on my own I would like to avoid being induced again. I'm also a little nervous because I don't know what it will be like if I do. We started from the very beginning with my induction so it was a long 26 hrs.
36+3 and had my first internal today and was 80% effaced and 3 cm. I think my due date is off so I think I should be about 4 or 5 days ahead of what she has me. Dr told me I better pack my bag! But I've heard you can stay at this for weeks so who knows!
My doctor never gets ahead of herself. She hasn't mentioned the protocol for induction or anything, even when my baby was ahead in size. She doesn't say when she thinks he will come either. I haven't figured out if I like it or not but I guess I do since she can't say something and it not happen. I'm 37 weeks, no dilation but some effacement (no percentage was given) and started feeling contractions this week, daily. Also the pain on the cervix that she says is the baby effacing. It's weird all this happened this week. I will say I am happy I know what a contraction is now!

I have. Mainly just getting in a squat-like position helps the baby get in to position. Also, google "cat/cow" yoga moves. That also helps get baby in to position.
Re: where is everyone with their "progress?"
I'm 3cm dilated and super soft.
