Being induced tomorrow! 2 1/2 weeks early

So my birthday was yesterday and on my way home I received a call from my doctor. I had been in the maternity center a few days ago because I had been getting sick every time I ate and was having sharp stomach and back pains. They checked everything out and couldn't find the source so they ran bloodwork just to check my organs and would get back to me in a couple days. My results came back that I have Cholestasis which effects your liver and is really bad for the baby when you are pregnant. This is something that can be brought on with pregnancy and can only be fixed by having the baby. I am only a couple weeks early from my due date so I know she is developed enough. I am just praying that this Cholestasis hasn't effected her at all and they caught it just in time. Please keep me and my daughter In your thoughts and prayers today and tomorrow. They will try and kick start my labor by inserting a balloon like object into my cervix(owww) today and if I don't go into labor tonight I will be induced at 7 am tomorrow morning.

T&P I am awaiting the results of my bile acid levels at the moment. 37 weeks 5 days. Have a blessed and safe delivery! :-) It's good that they caught it and you are delivering before 38 weeks.

Did they implant the "balloon" in your cervix to get you dilated as well? If so how bad does it hurt?

Aw, how scary! But it sounds like they caught it early, which is good! And you'll be holding your little girl in your arms in just a little bit, so that's exciting! A belated birthday present! :P Definitely praying for you and your little one!

Prayers for healthy babies and mommies to all of you. It will be wonderful meeting your precious little ones. Hopefully the balloon catheter works well...it absolutely did the trick with my first and ended up not being as scary as I thought.
