Baby hasn't gone poop in over 24 hrs!

3 week old hasn't pooped in over 24 hrs. Plenty of pee diapers, so I know he's getting something in him. He's grunting and groaning and farting, but no poop. I've tried baths, showers, gripe water, exercise...nothing. Is this normal/ what can I do?

    Insert a rectal thermometer. Then stand back and wait for poop storm.

    This happened to us when I had to introduce formula we cGoogle infant massage on you tube. This worked so well!! We gave him a bath then I did massage.

    If they are breastfed, they will (some will) start going days between poops - like up to 7 days.

    My LO is an every other day kind of boy. He's formula fed.

    My LO only goes every 4 days. She is a mix of breastfed and formula

    We've had 2-3 day stretches with no poop twice now. The rectal thermometer worked the first time for her and today I gave her a belly rub and it worked wonders.

    Refer to my constipation post. No worries mama. As our little ones grow their digestive systems change. Try gripe water if the problem persist or cycle their legs. I cycle my LO'S legs right after each burping and he farts up a storm.
