I'm trying to think of snacks that are easy to grab in the morning as I run out the door. What are your favorite meals/snacks with tons of protein. Bonus if it doesn't have to be refrigerated. TIA!
Doesn't have to be refrigerated? Way to make it tough... I have talked with my OB about my protein powder, so you may choose to do the same, but I use protein powder and mix it into water/milk/coffee depending on the day. If you mix it into coffee, just make it an iced coffee otherwise it's like a science experiment gone bad in hot coffee (until you find the right temp so it doesn't cook the protein!). I have little separated containers that I just throw in my bag, and then I have a little shaker I use on-the-go for quick protein.
Other snacks that I have are also listed above (cheeses, nuts, Greek yogurt, etc.). You could freeze a tube of Greek yogurt and bring it with you so by the time you want to eat it, it'll be a good temp. I'm a big fan of hard boiled eggs, too. If we are on a road trip, I always grab hard boiled eggs, string cheese, and beef jerky at our stops. I am a protein fiend
Granola/Protein Bars (I like the Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Almond Bars) Bananas/apples with peanut butter, almond butter or hazelnut spread Cheese (ie. string cheese, baby bells. I actually like to eat pretzels in the Laughing Cow Cheese.) Oatmeal Jerky
The protien cookie balls are good!! I also love trail mix w/ dried fruit and yogurt. (Traders Joe's makes my favorite kind). Protien bars in a pinch but not all kinds are tasty. I also like the starkist tuna and cracker snack!
Greek yogurt, apples and peanut butter, bananas and peanut butter, and hard boiled eggs. And recently I made a dip from plain Greek yogurt, peanut butter and honey and omg I could eat that without the fruit to dip in it!
Vanilla Greek yogurt with granola. Hard boiled eggs. Nuts. And I know it's weird but CostCo used to carry these mango granola Greek yogurt-covered bites, but the company stopped producing them and I don't like any of the other flavors
Re: Name your protein
Nuts, peanut butter, hard-boiled eggs, and greek yogurt are the easiest for me.
Bananas/apples with peanut butter, almond butter or hazelnut spread
Cheese (ie. string cheese, baby bells. I actually like to eat pretzels in the Laughing Cow Cheese.)
Oatmeal
Jerky
Protein (no bake) cookie balls, so yummy...no refrigeration, nice.
