Re: TWW post (week of 6/15-6/21)

  • I'm officially in the TWW starting today... 1 dpo.  I think we timed things well, and I tried to simmer down about the days that I got the "high" fertility, and focused on peak (DH has a tendency to get fatigued, so this month I decided to keep him focused.  Side note: It makes me laugh that he gets fatigued when he just has to show up for the fun stuff.  I'm the one tracking and obsessing about CM and peeing on sticks.  Sheesh.)  I'm also trying not to put pressure on this month as we may be considering Clomid if this month doesn't pan out.  I'd really like to avoid that if I can, but haven't decided yet.  I usually wait for AF to make her gradual and annoying appearance (I spot for days before), so I wait until the day she's due to test.

Hoping for a happy ending to June for all of us in the TWW!

  • I'm waiting to ovulate in the next few days.
    I'm temping and using opk's.
At this point I'm feeling like my body is gearing up. This month I've been experiencing the "TWW" just to get to ovulation. Every day is taking forever!

I'm excited and nervous. I'm looking forward to symptom checking and being hopeful!

  • Hi there.
    9DPO
Symptoms: sore full-feeling BBs, slight headache, slight nausea when I first woke up, increased thirst and sexy drive, cervix is highish and soft, cm is creamy
I'm feeling hopeful and plan on testing on Fathers Day. FX!
  • @Tomerine - isn't it funny how they get all the credit and we do most of the work!  SHEESH is right!  Good luck with your timing this month!

    @thistle8677 - GOOD LUCK!

@flowerjenny - good luck with your Fathers Day testing!  That would be so awesome!

I am CD18 and prob 6dpo, though FF or my new Glow app aren't picking up any O days because I didn't temp this month.  Against my better judgement, I did OPK's and I'd get a faint line here and there and then went out of town (away from DH on what was probably O day).  Good news is I think we BD'ed on O-3.  I'm being positive!
I've had really sore breasts pretty much all month and been very crampy.  I did start Vitex this month, so maybe because of higher estrogen?
I think I will also test on Fathers Day!!

    Good Luck LADIES!!

Hi ladies! I am cd22/8dpo on a clomid, ovidrel, and estrace cycle. I plan to test on Father's Day too! I'm a little paranoid that this cycle won't work out because clomid thinned out my lining (that is why I'm taking estrace for 14 days). Good luck to everyone!
  • Hi ladies!! I'm currently at CD20 and had my positive OPK yesterday so hopefully that means I did or am about to O (my body does like to play tricks on me, though). We did BD on CD 16, 17, and 19 (and also a lot before since I had a week of "high" fertility on advanced OPKs). We should have done it again today but we are both exhausted plus all my EWCM has dried up, so maybe I O'd last night? @Tomerine - I agree about focusing on the peak instead of the high since it can be exhausting. I'm hoping our timing was still good enough.

Good luck to everyone!! Hoping we get a few BFPs this round!

  • @Tomerine -- I totally agree!!  I did the pre-conception dr visit, fertility vitamins, temping, charting, opks, got pregnant in February, dealt with the morning sickness, constipation and other fun symptoms, went to all the dr visits, got a d&c after the mmc, dealt with all the bleeding after that, now I'm temping/charting/opk again, not to mention AF's every month. All I ask from DH is that we have lots of sex for a week. Sex. Come on.

  • @CarrieandRoy , that is so exactly it! How hard is their job? Gah! I'm sorry you've had to deal with all that you have, though. I hope your hubby really ups his game for you! ;)
  • My H is pretty good with rising to the occasion whenever necessary but I don't think he realizes how much work I put into knowing when my fertile window is because he sleeps through the whole temperature-taking and the OPKs, etc. The advanced Clearblue OPK takes 5 minutes to register and that's a long time to be waiting in the bathroom early in the morning. I wish there was a way to split up the labor better.

  • Tww here.... actually should start period tmrw.... I didn't use opk this month.... just watched the calendar and CM... had a loss in April at 11 weeks and last month was my first regular cycle after D&C... and it came on perfect schedule.
I cheated and tested today but honestly. ... I think no matter what the test really shows... we get so desperate for those 2 lines we see them even when they aren't there.
Almost passed out at work today which has NEVER happened to me before but I also just 4 days post disney cruise so I could just be zonked!
I hope we can all survive this TWW
  • I'm not sure how many days dpo I'm yet. On Saturday the line was getting darker not quite a positive yet, on Sunday I had a positive OPK yesterday (Monday) it was neg. I used wondofo' & it states O can happen 12-48 hours after a positive. I think I O yesterday, bd Friday night & the very late hours Sunday or early hours of Monday which ever way you look at it. Ewcm Fri., Sat., & Sun. On Sunday I had O cramps. My timing appears very good. My temp went up .20 Monday morning and down .02 this morning. Good luck ladies
  • I'm 4dpo, after femara, menopur, trigger shot, and IUI.

I'm feeling concerned about my temps being kind of low, wondering if I really O'ed or if they'll find a cyst at the next ultrasound, or if I just have really low progesterone (and I'm using supplements).  I had serious ovary cramps after the trigger shot, and I know I had one big follie and one medium-sized, so I'd be surprised if I didn't O.  Then I realized that my nose has been stuffy and I've been mouth-breathing when I sleep more, so, who knows if the temps are accurate??!

The symptoms from the trigger shot are fading, but I'm testing it out using the dollar store tests, and still had a faint positive yesterday (which, if you don't know about trigger shots, does NOT mean I'm pregnant, just that I still have leftover pregnancy hormone in my body from the shot).  I'm thinking those tests are really sensitive!  Obviously, any symptoms I have now are just due to the shot, but really I'm feeling pretty normal.

Once the test goes totally negative, I'll try to wait until 10dpo to start testing again.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • @KLake42, those tests ARE really sensitive. I had my blood tested two days after a positive test (First Response Early Result) and my hcg was 7. And when I tested again 48 hours later it was only down to 6. So It was probably about 8 when I had the positive test.

  • @KLake42 - it's tough when there are other things that may be influencing your temps. I often alternate between sleeping with my mouth open vs. closed, which I think alters my overall temps. Also, when it's time to really assess what my temps are doing (like after a +OPK) I get more stressed out and wake up multiple times in the night/morning. Like today, two days after my +OPK, I woke up at 3am, 5am, 7am and then 9:00. I took my temp all of the times except for the 3am one but I don't know which one to use (and they are kind of all over the place)! I'm really hoping this IUI is it for you!!!

@CarrieandRoy - wowy, the FRER test can pick up the level when it's that low?? I thought most tests picked up levels at 25.
