I have been trying to get pregnant for awhile now with our second child. I did 4 rounds of clomid and timed intercourse without success. I switched practices and my doctor wants to do injections with trigger shot and IUI. I know this is the next logical route and I am scheduled to learn how to give myself the injection and get my baseline blood work done on Friday. However, I'm reading all of the potential risks and side effects of these drugs and it is making me really nervous. We want another child, but I'm very worried about the risk. Can someone tell me her experience with this? I think maybe if I know that this is normal to be scared or if there really is nothing to worry about because many women do this, I will feel better...

Your doctor is the best one to discuss those types of questions.
I agree with Lindsey, however, if your question is related strictly to side effects, that injectables are much better than clomid. Although high estrogen levels make me cry/emotional.
Also I hate needles and the injections are easy. Don't stress and good luck
