Ft. Benning area moms XP facebook group

Hey ladies! I created a new Facebook page specifically for expectant mothers at Ft. Benning. I noticed a ton of mom groups but nothing just for us pregnant ladies. Please join and spread the word! I'll be posting about local events, tips, questions, and try to set up some meet & greets! Link will be posted below: Ft Benning Expecting Moms

    First, put an XP in your title if you are going to spam the boards.

    Second, internet security is a real thing. You might want to get to know a few people before creating/ joining some random FB group. 

    Third, there are local boards.

    Because internet security is real. What exactly will you be looking for in people's fb? People generally don't have an "I am a crazy stalker" picture on their cover page

    I understand the concern, however I look over profiles to see how long they've been active, if they're in other groups, make sure they're military affiliated, what they post about, photos, mutual friends, etc. I'm not a moron and I keep my profile private. If people don't feel comfortable joining then they obviously don't have to. But its common sense. There are a few other local pages that many women have joined and I thought this would be a great way for other military spouses to meet and find useful information on the area, doctors, or just find a friend.

    That is not going to cut it. What does how long they have been active have to do with spotting a catfish? And how does that help you spot someone who might want to steal your identity?

    This is the first post that you have mentioned anything about the military, which I find strange.

    ETA: Just from clicking on your FB link, I now know you and your H's full names (plus your maiden names) and where you live. Imagine how much more I could find out about you if I tried.

    Nothing because the rest is private! People can use common sense and determine for themselves if they feel it's safe to use or not. I truly do not understand how you think my identity could be stolen. There is no personal info about me on my FB. I usually only post in my birth club month which is why you don't see my other tricare post or comments on other threads. I am part of multiple FB groups and have been an admin for several in the past. I don't publicly post anything personal and joining the group does not give you any more access than normal. If someone wants to steal my shit they're gonna have to go somewhere other than FB. Knowing my name gets you nowhere.

    Also my current city isn't up to date so you actually now only know where my husband is stationed.
