This is a weekly check-in for members in their 3rd trimester. You can join at 28 weeks and we will bid you an excited farewell when you greet your little ones! If you are new, please include your EDD and team.
Questions: 1) How far along? 2) Any appointments this week? 3) How are you feeling?
QOTW: If you could have dinner with someone famous (alive or dead) who would it be? AND If you got a free pass to smack one person, who would it be?
34 weeks tomorrow . So I need your opinions, my best friend asked me to go w her to the beach this Friday to next Thursday, it's about a ten hour drive. I don't have any appointments until next Friday. But I feel weirdly nervous! My husband says I should go as long as the nurse is ok w it because it will be my last baby free girls vaca for a while. What do you all think??

Hey! I'm 30 weeks. No appointments at all this week. Feeling pretty good actually, with some back pain some evenings. QOTW: I don't really have a desire to meet many people, so I haven't really thought about it! If I could smack someone, it would probably be my MIL and then have superpowers so she'd forget I did it:-)
@sorrellam, that's a tough call. I'd be a little nervous, too, but would probably go. Are you feeling good enough to enjoy yourself? I am planning a 6+ hour road trip at 33 weeks. I say as long as you stay in the country and there is a hospital relatively close just in case, then I'd go for it!

Hi all!! I'm 31 weeks 4 days here (will be 31 weeks 5 days in 30 min but who is counting lol). I'm on day 51 of hospital bed rest. The last few days have been a roller coaster. On Wednesday night I peed in a cup for a urine sample and when I looked at the cup it was all red fluid. I freaked out! They ran a CBC, sent the culture out, did a sono to make sure he was head down, and put my iv back in for fluids. All the tests pointed to kidney stones which I passed the first one late that night. Move onto Thursday and I was bleeding...this time from the vagina (not a lot but enough to freak me out). Then my amniotic fluid started to turn pink! They checked my cervix and it as closed. I felt crampy all day. At about 10pm that night I started having contractions every 3 min. They gave me a bolus of fluid to see if they would stop and they didn't. So they checked my cervix again and it was still closed. All throughout the night they would come and go. Friday, Saturday and Sunday was the same...come and go of contractions. Sometimes in patterns sometimes not. Today, my urine sample came back positive for a uti. So basically, the doctor said my body will go one of two ways. The first, it will go into full blown labor bc my uterus is so irritated bc of the kidney stones and uti and it's gearing up. Or after the antibiotics everything will go back to normal and my body will tell itself it isn't ready to deliver yet. So we continue to wait...with 24/7 monitoring for contractions and fetal hr, CBCs, urine samples, blood pressure checks, temp, etc. Fingers crossed!! I would love to make it to at least 32 weeks!
QOTW: Ohhh I would love to have dinner with Lady Gaga! I'm so obsessed with her. I've seen her live 6 times being in front row each time. She's so accepting and inspiring and a beautiful person once you get over her shock factor. Andddd I would def punch/slap my SIL (my husband's brother's wife). She is such a pathological liar and I cannot stand how fake she is and how she treats my husband's family like shit!!

Hi I would like to be added. I am 29 weeks and 5 days, and I am having a girl. I just had an appointment yesterday and everything was good. She is already head down and my belly is growing right on track. I am feeling good overall. I do get painful contractions from time to time which is weird, because the Braxton hicks I got with my son were never painful.
QOTW: If I could have dinner with any famous person it would probably be Tina Fey just because she is so funny! I don't know who I would slap, but there are plenty of famous people who I think need to be slapped.....
@sorrellam30 I would definitely take the opportunity and go to the beach

We are 35w + 3d!!!! I'm with @CaringCat - crazy to see our names at the top of the list!
We've had a crazy week! Had to say goodbye to our foreign exchange student Monday morning. So sad! I can't believe how close we are getting. Our due date is 7/19 but our surrogate keeps having dreams about delivering on 7/9 - who knows
This will be our last week with no appointments until the baby comes!
We are finally getting the nursery together (had to wait for our foreign exchange student to leave for the room to be ready). We finished the crib last night! It only took 2 days and 7362527 meltdowns, but it is finished!!! Soon I'll have my living room back!
QOTW: If you could have dinner with someone famous (alive or dead) who would it be? AND If you got a free pass to smack one person, who would it be?
I'm a huge Ski Racing fan so I would love to have dinner with Picabo Street. I would slap the schnizz out of Donald Trump. He (and his toupee) is the definition of annoying.
@sorrellam30 I personally would skip it, but I'm having so much trouble with my feet that a 10 hour drive would be really hard on me. I need to have them elevated! Hopefully you're not having the same issue!
I am 33w1d today and feeling SOOOO DONE. I know I have almost 7 weeks left and went through a lot to get here, so I should be more positive, but man, I'm not loving this. Went in to see the doctor on Monday and she thinks the baby is breech based on jabbing around. I'm not at all convinced. Getting tons of kicks in the upper right quadrant and her hiccups are coming from the lower left. My doctor wasn't sure though... she said it's early to tell. Going to check again in two weeks at my next appointment. Fingers crossed!
Well ladies I called my dr and she said it's not medically advisable for me to go to the beach (at least not this once bc of the distance) I guess I'll have to find a pool somewhere and close my eyes and pretend it's good enough! On a positive note it's kind of exciting that baby boy is due soon enough that I am restricted from traveling too far, I'm so ready for him to get here.

@sorrellam30 - that is a bummer about the beach - but I agree - you've come this far and you're close to having LO in your arms
@DSculley1824 - I feel so bad for you dealing with all these issues on top of the already difficult hospital bed rest. Sending T&P your way that LO keeps on cooking!
@Julie21613 - carrying twins is seriously hard - and physically so much more demanding than my pregnancy with DD. Not sure if you feel the same way - but I'm only 33 weeks and I am bigger now than I was when I delivered DD and the aches and pains of this pregnancy are 10x worse than with DD.
@KevinandJesse - instructions for all things baby related are generally a nightmare - provoking more curse words from my husband than I have ever heard in one sitting.
@carrieharry79 - (fist bump of comraderie) - I'm 100% with you. I am super swollen and super over this pregnancy. People keep asking me how I feel. I am on the border of losing my ability to just say 'pretty pregnant' and not lash back with 'how the hell do you think I feel? do you see me right now?'
AFM...
33 + 3 - and as noted above - living with just about every pregnancy gripe you can list - aches and pains, heartburn, swollen feet / hands / face, pee breaks multiple times per night, feeling so hot at night that I am sleeping with no covers...I read other posts on BMB etc from women who are sad this may be their last pregnancy - and I'm thinking - you're joking, right? I'm very thankful to be pregnant after all I've been through - but no one said I had to love the pregnancy itself.
Medically things are looking good. NST was uneventful, amniotic fluid for both babies looks good. DH wants me to go to 38 weeks because that would be best for his work schedule. I'm praying I go just a little earlier than that...since DD was 9.2 lbs and born at 38 weeks...I am not wanting to be lugging around 18 lbs of baby...

Everybody asks me to lay down if I sit for too long, but sitting is way more comfortable than laying down.

Edited to say I am due 8/27

QOTW: If you could have dinner with someone famous (alive or dead) who would it be? Crazy as it sounds, I would have loved to have had dinner with Paul Newman! Used to watch his movies with my Nana when I was little...She loved his blue eyes.
AND If you got a free pass to smack one person, who would it be? Kim Kardashian & Kanye West (it would be a double slap)!

I'm 29w5d today. next appt is Monday. I feel...pregnant. I went shopping today looking for a few things to add to my wardrobe. I feel huge. Everyone keeps telling me I'm so small but I don't feel like it. Lies I tell you lies!! Lol. Everything fits weird.
I have my shower this Saturday so I'm excited about that. I've been looking for a pretty dress to wear to my maternity photos. Can't find anything I like. I'm considering just making it. Maybe.
Qotw: I would have dinner with Diana Gabaldon. She's my favorite author. I have a list of people I want to slap. And it changes by the day. Mostly my father.

All Welcome
@DSculley1824 - I feel so bad for you dealing with all these issues on top of the already difficult hospital bed rest. Sending T&P your way that LO keeps on cooking!
@Julie21613 - carrying twins is seriously hard - and physically so much more demanding than my pregnancy with DD. Not sure if you feel the same way - but I'm only 33 weeks and I am bigger now than I was when I delivered DD and the aches and pains of this pregnancy are 10x worse than with DD.
@Justone13 - have fun at your shower!
