Trying to Get Pregnant

Amazing new temping product!

Hey ladies,

Have any of you heard of this awesome new temping product Tempdrop?

temp-drop.com

It's a really neat little device that you sleep with, and it takes the most accurate reading of your BBT (while you are sleeping) and automatically records it into your preferred fertility app. The only problem is they are compatible with just about every fertility tracking app out there EXCEPT for Fertilty Friend. I messaged the people at Tempdrop to request they include FF as well, and they would have me believe that the people at FF are responsible for this.

Wouldn't it be awesome to not have to wake up insanely early just to temp? Anyways, if you are as excited about this product as I am, won't you open up FF and shoot them a message asking that they allow compatibility with Tempdrop?

I love FF, but I love sleeping in more, and I'll switch to Ovia if necessary, but wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to? Thanks for your help!

  • Its really an interesting idea but waking up early the 1 minute i have to spend temping then going right back to sleep isnt a big enough hassle for me to pay 84 dollars for the tempdrop. But im sure its completely worth it to other women. Hopefully it helps other women ttc.

  • Lucky girl! Once I'm awake, I can't go back to sleep. Thanks for your feedback! :)

Yeah my DH is just like that. If the dogs wake him to go outside at 4 am, he is up for the rest of the day haha.
  • I have to admit it's tempting for someone like me. But the cost just feels too high for what they're presenting. Battery has to be replaced every 6-12 months and the method of adhering to the body relies on adhesives. For folks who use FAM for more than just conceiving (knowledge or prevention) I think that makes this more cost-prohibitive. And I'm not comfortable with dropping so much on a single-purpose tool. Another concern is if the adhesives are known for resisting body sweat.

When I dropped 85$ for my Fitbit I knew I was paying for the continuous tracking and feedback that they provided. In retrospect it's a crazy good deal that allows me to use it for weight loss or maintenance (neatly avoiding the limited use), sleep tracking, and I could upgrade for the "trainer" package.

interesting concept, but I'm holding out for version 2.0!
  • This might be a useful tool for those whose temperature is sensitive to a lot of things, ex: poor sleep quality, temp of room, waking up to pee, pets in the bed, time of temping, etc.
