First father's day

So this father's day will be dh's first "official" one obviously, hence the title lol. i don't wanna be super cheesy and all, but he got me a mother's day gift (totally unexpected and super super sweet) so I would like to return the favor to him. We have hopefully our first really good scan at 12 weeks this friday, so I planned on using one of the images I get from that to put in a picture frame for his desk at work. However he just informed me that they're getting another person who is the same job as him so now they have to share one tiny desk and he might not have room for a frame... What else can I do that might not be over the top, something small but thoughtful? It's difficult because baby isn't even born yet so I cant do a personalized gift. Anything you ladies have done and would like to share? I don't want to copy but I need something to spark my imagination. I looked at pinterest but most things were for when baby is already born so I'm at a loss.

    I'm not sure if to get my bf a gift for his first Father's Day.. I mean we found out I was pregnant a few days before Mother's Day but didn't make a big deal of it.. So should I? Lol just need advice myself too. As for you, maybe a card with a small picture of your soon to be for his wallet?

    I was just going to get my husband a sweet card. The baby isn't born yet and he's not "fathering" a child other than preparing to be one! Which is a huge deal in and of itself. But let's be real, we need to save all the money we can before baby gets here.

    Hahaha @maddisonwallace well I'm definitely not going all out. Mostly doing it to return the favor. If I can't think of anything I'll probably do the picture frame idea. Is that too cheesy? Do you think a guy would enjoy that?

    I also got my husband a humorous men's guide to pregnancy book- added benefit for me because now he may have some idea of what to expect. I also got him a children's book about dads.

    Etsy has a lot of neat gifts for dads. Wallets, money clips, personalized dad keychains, etc. it may be too late now to customize not sure.

    In the past for small gifts, I got mine a freezer mug for beer with the Auburn University logo on it and got him some candy and a card and just put a bow around it and poured the candy in there! I think the picture frame idea is cute. My husband loves stuff like that

    Omg @Firsttimer16 that's sooooo stinkin cute! I have some onesies left over from our announcement, I think I will do that!

    Man diaper bag is a great idea!!! That's what I did for DH when we were first expecting. The one I got was more of a backpack (he didn't want to feel like he was carrying a purse). Plus you might want to save the mug idea for when the baby arrives and you have pictures of him/her. Then again, no one can have enough coffee mugs :)

    H has been a father for 6 years, but I'm planning a 3 course fondue meal! I'm mimicking the recipes from the Melting Pot and making the Wisconsin Trio cheese dip, Mojo broth, and the chocolate peanut butter for dessert! I'm getting all of the classic dippers they serve there as well.

    My boyfriend loves the Buccaneer's so I had a crafty friend of mine make me a onesie with their logo on it. Just a white ones is with a black and white logo so it's gender neutral. I figured that with a dad to be card, and maybe a bag of peanut M&M's that says "Can't wait to meet you Dad! Love, your little peanut." Cheap and easy! Lol.

    I'm getting him 'What to Expect When Your Wife is Expecting.' He loves reading the regular 'what to expect...' book. I was going to get him 'Dude, You're Going to be a Dad.' I heard it was pretty funny, but aimed at younger dads. DH isn't going to be a young Dad.

    I just bought a cheap at home dopler with great reviews. I understand this is also a gift for me lol, but since hubby won't be able to make it to our 12 week app where I'll get to hear the heartbeat, I thought ir would be fun for him to hear it at home!

    I like the Doppler idea too. We got to hear the heartbeat at our last appt but it would still be cute. Only thing is I don't think it would come in the mail in time lol

    Mine came in 2 days from Amazon, and it looks like fetaldoppler.net is 4 days. Maybe it will make it! :)

    I made my hubby this with a dollar store mug and sharpie! I also made him a card that says "I'm so glad you're the one who knocked me up" on the front. I wanted to do something small from just me, his first official Father's Day will be with baby in arms next year!

    I got my husband a funny little book. He thought it was silly but I'm going to make him read it so he knows how to handle my crazy symptoms and emotions.

    My DH LOVES this book! He bought it for himself and he says it really makes him understand what's going on.

    @allisonraereeves I did this too! DH and I love Jimmy Fallon. And I wrote a note inside from baby. :)

    I wanna get dh those books!
    I got him a super cheap frame and wrote on it "I love my daddy" and I'm putting the uktrasound pic in it. Super simple :)
