Baby Monitors

I'm looking to buy my baby monitors shortly and wondered which ones people recommend? I am mainly after a simple one without the video or activity feature just because I think I would become too obsessed in watching it.

I guess this narrows the choice down somewhat but which ones do people recommend?

    FTM here so I can't recommend any in particular, but make sure you check Groupon; they usually have pretty good deals for baby monitors.

    I have used the Graco secure monitor for almost two years now. It has two monitors but one never worked. I felt the same way about a video monitor. I did get the Angelcare movement monitor for when we first moved DS into his own room, but the three times it went off were all false alarms. I'll still use both when this baby comes along.
