Question about diaper parties

I know these are frowned upon in some areas, but for those who have either hosted or attended one, I was wondering if you could give me a little help.

A friend of mine is expecting her first baby, and as she has no sisters and mostly childless/single friends, I have offered to host a baby shower for her. Her husband and mine have a large group of close guy friends, and I have a feeling that they would feel left out if they didn't get to participate in some way. I was asking her if she had any preferences about a co-ed shower/party vs something with just the girls, and she is leaning towards a girls only type party. The guys like to get together to play poker occasionally, so I thought that we could maybe organize a diaper poker party for them during the shower, and then invite them to join us girls for a BBQ or something after the girly part is done.

As I understand it, the buy in for the game is a pack of diapers. What I am wondering is, what would be a good prize for the winner of the game as the diapers are obviously for the new parents?

    I am not a fan of diaper parties.

    That being said, I do have a friend that had one for the guys.  The host (uncles to be) provided the bbq and beer and held a diaper raffle.  The mom and dad to be provided two of their season NFL tickets to the winner.

    I like the idea that a package of diapers is the buy in for the poker game. Do a nice bottle of whisky as the prize or whatever the popular liquor in the group is.

    But what if baby doesn't end up being able to use the diapers? :/ That's always been my issue with diaper parties.

    Alcohol is always a nice prize. Or if they all go to a restaurant maybe a $50 bar tab or something.

    I always thought a diaper party would be fun! I agree if they like booze that that is a good prize. A case of good beer or whiskey whatever is most preferred.

    You can return or exchange diapers. I've had to do it before when DH bought the wrong size.
    I agree a nice bottle of liquor would be an awesome prize.

    I read about this a while ago on a mommy blog and it said to do a $10 buy in as well as a pack of diapers. I thought it was a great idea! My fiance says he wishes he knew how to play poker so he could do this. Lmao.

    Walmart is amazing at returns.

    If I still lived near my parents, I would be all over this idea! We had bonfires practically every weekend during the summer. Unfortunately, we live in a big city, and it's not feasible here. :( I miss my bonfires...it's not officially summer until we've had at least one. ;)

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I was thinking a bottle of booze as well, but was trying to think of something more interesting as that is the go-to gift/prize for pretty much every event. At least I know they'll like it, lol

    A few of our friends had diaper bashes and we plan on having one with our shower as well. We aren't doing a poker game just a keg where they get their cup for the keg by bringing a pack of diapers. The ones we have been to have been a blast. We are doing ours coed and it will probably be in the evening after our shower. (Or whatever my sister and friends decide on since they are throwing them for us.)

    Huggies and chuggies party. Guys bring a pack of diapers and dad to be or party thrower provided the beer. The poker game is cool too!

    If I had to set up a prize, it would probably be liquor also, and maybe a Rockets or Texans t-shirt or cap. (Our cities sports team). Other ideas could be, gift cards, tie, socks (men can never have enough clean and hole-free socks!), coffee mug, shot glasses. Just thinking out loud of some cool gift basket prizes.
