Poop

my LO Hasn't popped in 5 days. He seems happy. He's eating less (nowhere to store it). He gets only breast milk and I know it's not uncommon for bf babies to go longer but 5 days?? Called he dr and they said he's fine that it can last up to two weeks. I have tried stimulating him and they said he's too young for like kiro syrup (he's 12 weeks) and ideas ladies? He'll pop if he gets to two weeks.

    My daughter had the same problem a few weeks ago (she's 12 weeks on Fri) and the doctor said the same, but he did give us a natural laxative for infants for in case she was straining and in pain. But I'm reluctant to use it - she ended up going herself eventually. You could ask for something similar but it really is normal!

    He finally did poop tonight night 5. But it was sticky.. Any idea if that is normal?

    My son is formula fed, but he experienced the same thing. He would only use the bathroom every four days and when he did he screamed bloody murder. The poop was also hard, like dried play dough. We changed his formula, tried anal stimulation, and glycerin suppositories, but none of it worked. The pediatrician finally suggested giving him 1 oz. of prune juice mixed with 1 oz. of water daily. He now uses the bathroom every other day, and the poop is soft.
