Anyone else Tandem Nursing?

Just wanted to see how who else is planning on nursing through out their pregnancy and beyond. Or at least attempting too.

Re: Anyone else Tandem Nursing?

  • I wish I could have lasted longer, but my daughter is a biter, so it was time to stop (and I outlasted my MIL by two months, so I really did reach my goal)

I have a few friends who did on my previous BMB and another girl on my previous BMB is pregnant and is continuing to nurse.

Some women find that their milk dries up while pregnant or that their older LO weans, so best of luck to you!

  • I am. But it's hard... I think nursing is making me feel even sicker than I have to be. So stopping is tempting.

Poor lady! I have been laying down in bed when DS wants to nurse and taking a half nap!
  • We are still nursing but I am hoping to have him weaned by time this one gets here... He is almost 20 months old now... I originally wanted him weaned by 18 months... Now it's 2 years. We'll see how it goes. I've learned not to make many "plans" when it comes to my boys!

  • I'm still nursing my 22 month old with no plans to stop. I'm trying to just go with the flow but I'll admit that I'm nervous about it.
  • My DS2 is almost one so we are starting to wean. I'm sad, but the pregnancy and nursing hormone combo is a lot for my body, so I know it's the right call for us. I wish that it came easier for me while pregnant. I love that bond with him. Never thought I'd be one of those moms who would say something like that, but I do:)

  • I am nursing my 2.5 year old and "open" to tandem nursing, but not excited about it. I was hoping my son would have weaned by now (nurses only in the evening). My nipples are super sensitive and I wonder if I am drying up a bit as he seems to want to nurse longer which makes it worse :(.
  • I am still nursing my 13 month old with no plans to stop. ThlwIP
  • My kid just hit reply for me. Instead of "thlwlp" that should have read "the sore nipples are a pain."

Not this time. But I did for every other pregnancy except my first.  Once you get past the first tri, it gets easier.

  • My little girl just turned 1 and still bf'ing she shows no signs of wanting to stop but I feel like she's nursing longer trying to get milk that I just don't have anymore. I also supplement with milk since 4 months. If I wasn't pregnant again I probably would not consider stopping, but I don't feel like I can continue :-S
