Finding it impossible...

So, I'm finding it impossible to find a diaper bag that I like. I want something that is big enough to hold everything, but not so big it's a pain. I want something girlie in colors, but without flowers or birds or hearts...not overly girly. Something that is soft but strong and something that isn't expensive. Any suggestions??

I'm not sure if you have a Burlington coat factory where you live but you should go look for a diaper bag their! I'm not a fan of those "themed" bags AT ALL. They have really cute ones with just color or cute designs . And they are really roomy! And don't look too much like a diaper bag and also affordable and last .

  • Girl, I've gone through 5 different diaper bags in the short year I've had DD. I don't know if I'm overly picky or what, but I'm still not happy with the one I have. Now that I'm going to have a second baby, I've insisted on only backpack styles, because I'll need both the hands I've got. My husband will probably kill me if I come home with a different one again!

A friend of mine recommended Juju be. I haven't bought one yet myself but for me I'd like to carry less! I see people with this big huge bags and wonder if they really need all of that!
  • Do you have any outlets near you? If so, check them out (and look for sales there). I was able to get a Coach bag for the same price as most regular bags I see at other baby stores. Going on 3 years and tons of abuse and i is still in great shape. Plus once I am done with having kids it will still work as a great overnight bag or something since it doesn't scream diaper bag. They retail for close to $500 if you get them at the Coach store in season, but at the outlets if you time it right you can get them for a fraction of that! You can also check ebay, etsy, etc.
  • I just bought a Vera Bradley diaper bag...I love it! It's not too big and it holds a lot. Plus I love all the pretty colors...it does come in lots of different patterns and I got mine on ebay cheaper than the Vera Bradley website.
  • I have the petunia pickle bottom boxy backpack. Their colors and prints are adorable. You can get them on amazon for $140 ish. They usually retail for $189.

A little pricey but since it's something you use every day it's not too bad.

Here is the bag that I got.
  • https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00H4E9WWC/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?qid=1434502204&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=skip+hop+bag&dpPl=1&dpID=41ZXt4AO3IL&ref=plSrch

This is the one I am getting. My sister has it and it seems to fit so much more inside than my current one does. And it has nice colors and is easy to clean.
  • So I went on a computer to put a picture up of the Vera Bradley bag since it wouldn't let me on my phone and apparently I have 2 the bump accounts? I'm thinking it's from when I got married and used the knot website...I guess I logged in with a different e mail for my "new" bump account. Sorry if that confused anybody!
  • I got an amazing jujube that I'm in love with. Not really "price friendly" is you're looking to stay on a budget.

My friend sells 31 and they have some cool bags for a great price and you can customize them too. Definitely check out 31!

  • I have a Kate Spade. It's beautiful, red and blue. But I'm having a boy.

I got a Vera Bradley bag that's not a diaper bag in particular but I love it. It was 1/2 off and and about 100 bucks cheaper than the bag at buy buy baby! Though they're not very plain they're very pretty.
  • I found one I kind of like here at a local boutique, but it comes with a boutique price tag too. I'm not really wanting to spend more than $50 on one. Although, I'd love to convince DH to buy me a Consuela bag I can use as a diaper bag/purse!!

Yea... I ditched my diaper bag before DD was 6 months old and have been carrying a small daypack style backpack ever since.
  • I'm in love...but it's not a diaper bag. Lol

  • I am always switching, but for carrying newborn accessories or for a long day out with my two kids I take my Graco diaper bag. It is in a cute print and is a messenger bag style. It won't pass for a purse, but it keeps me organized and is just made to hold all the baby stuff.

Once my DD was a year I started switching between my regular purses and Vera Bradley mini backpack. I just didn't need as much space.
