Last night in bed, baby was very active so I called out to DH to come in to the room (he was playing video games). I asked him to try and feel movement in my belly, and he did! This was the first time for him!!! That was so exciting!!
My husband usually misses most of the movement because of video games! I love when he gets to feel the baby move. It's only happened a handful of times, but we both get so excited!
Husband likes video games too but doesn't play a lot - great they could feel! Fortunately for us it was a Saturday morning so were both in bed and he could feel. It's wonderful!
I feel her most when I'm laying in bed at night. He falls asleep every night with his hand on my tummy and has felt her quite a bit. It makes me feel so great knowing how happy he is to be a dad! Love him!
All of my in laws delt my little girl moving tonight after family dinner! It was great to see the looks on their faces. DH always just misses her moving . I think tonight's the night!
DH hasn't felt our daughter kick yet, but I remember the first time he felt DS kick. I think it was around 26-27 weeks. That night he had a dream about a tiny little hand reaching out to touch his.
My husband felt baby move right before I turned 21 weeks this last Sunday. We've been trying to get him to feel it for a while and he always misses it because LO moves away as soon as S/he feels daddy's hand. Stinker!
I had him out his hand on my tummy while we were laying in bed though, and he felt it a few times and go so excited. Makes my heart melt.
He finally felt it last night too! 22 weeks and 4 days. She is super active late at night, especially yesterday. I even saw my belly move for the first time. Super cool! Though I'm not looking forward to the stronger organ punches I keep hearing about
I love this conversation! It is just the most amazing thing to feel the baby move around and share it with everyone who is excited to meet the baby!!! Call me hormonal and pregnant- but this brings tears to my eyes
One of my twins put their hand on my belly and the baby kicked. He looked so shocked and said ow! It was so adorable! My husband hasn't been able to feel a kick yet but he has seen it. My husband is excited for the big alien like movements later on in pregnancy, he thinks they are so cool.
I didn't feel DD on the outside until much later than this, but I felt this LO around 17 weeks from the outside (inside movement was around 13 weeks). I told the doctor that I figured I have a huge baby or twins, neither of which are true, just really active I guess! DH just felt our LO move last night at 20w6d because he is finally patient enough to wait. After he got a couple jabs, he looked at me and said, "It's an alien in there!" He's been through this before, so I think it's funny that he still finds it so weird to feel that LO inside my belly. He's a great dad, so I don't take offense
DH felt our little girl for the fist time last week, so amazing to be able to share the moment together. This past weekend we could both see her kicking from the outside which was also supper exciting!
My husband was trying so hard to feel the baby then by accident felt the baby a week ago and has been able to feel the baby since. He's really excited to feel the kicks.
My mother in law not so much. She's more interested in feeling my sister in law. (Not her daughter, her son's husband).
My husband felt baby moving and flipping on Saturday at 19.6! The funniest thing has been the reaction from our 70lb lap dog. He keeps getting kicked in the chin and looking at me like "what's the deal here lady?". It's a fun time at our house!
I read somewhere that babies in the womb respond more to a male voice, because it's deeper. So when my DH speaks to my tummy (when baby is awake) she kicks more. He will say "hey baby, kick me!" And she does. It's amazing!!
@ems028 ,I may be the exception,lol...she may be kicking a storm, but the minute she hears DH's voice or he puts his hand on my tummy, total silence.Almost hypnotic.Still sulking here (why can't she kick him too?!)
Hubby finally felt our little guy on Thursday, @ 24 weeks! It was such an amazing feeling to see his reaction to feeling his son move for the first time
My hubby finally felt our LO about a week and a half ago (I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow). He works graveyard and she is always most active first thing in the morning or later in the evening *I'm hoping that doesn't continue after birth!!* so he usually misses it. The other day he rested his head on my belly and she actually kicked him in the face!
Our son is most active at night, I'll wait until a point where he is moving like crazy, then as soon as my husband puts his hand on my stomach he stops I'm 23w today so I hope he is able to feel him soon!! Love reading everyone's stories!!
Have you ever seen a dog that gets so excited when you come home that he runs out of the room and back? That is what my husband did the first time he felt our baby girl kick about a week ago. He was knees to chest running saying "Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!" It was awesome to see him geek out like that.
