Hi everyone I just wanted to show you guys the tree we bought and planted in our back yard in memory of our little one.

DD1 - BFP 7/23/15 (EDD 3/31/16).  "We believe in you rainbow" DOB 4/2/16
DD2 - BFP 2/9/18 (EDD 10/19/18).  "Grow baby grow!" DOB 10/24/18

    Beautiful. My husband and I talked about doing the same thing. Now that we are in our house, I think we will! I hope this helps bring you peace.

    I am definitely attached to that little tree now.  It rained today and I texted DH and was like Awe it's our little trees first rain in our yard.  And then I'm like wow I'm nuts.

    My sisters got us a memorial tree. It's a Pink Dogwood. I'm attached to it too! I have a bit of a black thumb so I'm terrified it's going to die.

    I have a brown thumb too. On the day of my D&C my mom bought me an azalea bush and I forgot about it and it died. I told her you can't just bring plants into the house I need warning. I was hoping the tree might be sturdier.

    Such a lovely idea!! We buried our babies under an oak tree at his parent's house (where we will be moving soon). I'm thinking about getting a garden stone or something to mark it. I miss our babies. :(

    I just asked DH about this. At first it was very round-about, like it was something we could do for the day (his boss gave him a week of leave off the books to help me post-D&C) One of the little trees in our yard died 2 years ago and its 11ft frame is still there, replacing it has been on the to-do list for a very long time. I never directly said it was a memorial tree though. At first he seemed agitated, said he didn't have the money or the time... cue me bursting into tears. THEN I think it clicked what I was going for. I had already pulled up a list of ornamental trees that could survive here in CO, and that would bloom around this month. He took my phone and started trying to track one down locally while I was sobbing. Four-hundred-and-eighty bucks :-O !! Hearing that really kind of put me over the edge, and he stormed off. Maybe about a half hour later, he was back. He found a bunch of options that could be sent via Fed-Ex and he picked one for $80.

    I feel a lot better that he put in the effort in order to make it work, and that HE chose the tree. It gave him something to *fix*, and in the end, I think we both feel much better. Thank you all for the wonderful idea!
