So effing nervous

Hello fellow mommies to be! I am just 7 weeks today and I am so worried about my first ultrasound in exactly a week from today.
This is my second pregnancy and the first one ended in MC at 10 weeks. With that pregnancy I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks and then almost every week and a half after because I was bleeding.
This one I am waiting until I am 8 weeks and the wait is so long and I am so nervous that something will go wrong. I haven't had any bleeding so far and I am feeling a lot different this time around. I have been having slight cramping almost every other day and I know that's normal but I am just so worried that something bad will happen. Anyways I guess I just needed to vent. My BF and I are so excited for this I just want all to be well.

Good luck to you ladies.

  • Try to relax and stay calm. I think the wait before the first appointment is the most nervewracking.  After you can see/hear the heartbeat I remember feeling so much more at ease. It gets easier when you can feel the baby move and kick because it makes you feel like something is going right. Try to stay busy and not think about it. Your first appointment will be here before you know it.

And yes, the cramping you are feeling is completely normal.

  • Try to find a hobby that will distract you. I'm always worried the other shoe is going to drop, so I completely understand. Cramping is normal and expected.

  • That's a lot of stress mama, try and take a deep breath and take care of yourself! Sending prayers that you'll see a nice strong heartbeat at 8 weeks!

  • These first weeks are so hard. I miscarried a few years ago at 9 weeks, and that was after seeing the heartbeat two times. I was spitting tho and knew something wasn't quite right, but such is so. So sometimes even seeing the heartbeat isn't a confidence booster for me. So you're not alone!!! We all are in these "first few weeks of nerves" together. Try to stay positive and keep distracted until you have a reason (like heavy bleeding, period like cramps, etc) to worry.

  • I understand, kinda in the same boat. I had a blighted ovum in December. Now I'm almost 7weeks along, first appt is next week. Feeling nervous and anxious, stay positive and keep your mind off it.
  • I understand how hard it is to wait and not worry too! My last pregnancy was a missed miscarriage at 7.5 weeks. I can't wait to hopefully see heartbeat(s) on my next ultrasound. My u/s this week showed only two gestational sacs and yolk sacs, no fetal poles or the heartbeats I was hoping for. Waiting is so hard!

It is extremely nerve wracking. I can't imagine already having suffered a loss. There are so many emotions and sensations, and it feels like the appointment is taking ages to get here. I'm praying for all of us so much!!
  • This is my first little one and I'm scared to death. My first appointment isn't until July 23rd! I'm getting really nervous waiting that long I'm 6 weeks now is that normal to wait that long for an appointment?
