I have had the hardest time picking a name. Every name I come across seems a bit over used. I just want an uncommon name but not to far fetched. Could use some help!

I have been looking at the social security names site and looking back into the early 1900's at the different names used. You might be able to find something there you like. Some names that aren't over used

Honestly, your best bet is to go to the SSA website and start looking at names 200 and up. Or even 100 and up depending on what you consider to be too popular. If there is a name you like, you can then search it on the site to see what similar names pop up and their ranking. (Example: If I search for the name Roland, It brings up Roland's ranking for every year since 2000, and underneath the search bar it shows names similar to Roland and their rankings in 2014. ) This way you don't fall in love with a name that's just a variant spelling of a super popular name.

Looking at the lists from the earlier 1900's and even 1800's is a great idea as well.

My son's name is Cole. He is almost 6 and we rarely come across anyone else with his name. I'm having a girl this time and I'm like you...I don't want an overused name. We still haven't decided 100% on a girl name.
