Still bleeding?

Has anyone experienced bleeding throughout their ENTIRE pregnancy? Brown one day, bright red the next? On and off, but no end in site? This is not caused by sex or any other physical activity (I've been told to lay down, rest, and keep the hubby away).

My doctors have no idea why this is happening and say it's probably "my normal". I just want to hear that someone else is going through this too so I can feel less insane.

BABY is doing just great. Good strong heartbeat, good ultrasounds, growing like crazy.

(And YES I've used the search function ;-) Can't find another thread with these exact symptoms)

Re: Still bleeding?

  • Oh, and no significant cramping other than normal growth and ligament pain.

  • I have not personally had bleeding but I have heard of other people that had this happen and they were fine

I bled (brown to red) my whole first trimester with my first. I had brown blood until about a week ago with this pregnancy. It was my normal. I know that doesnt give much comfort
  • I bled almost the whole time with my son. No cause or rhyme and reason to it. It just happened. Scary and annoying!!

  • I bleed a few times in the first tri. My doctor says I have a very sensitive cervix and that I will likely have bleeding throughout my entire pregnancy (haven't had any since). She said this is due to the fact that our circulation and that everything is pushing down and causing pressure on the cervix, hopefully that is all that is going on with you. Keep us posted and take it easy!
  • I bled heavily at 14 weeks with some large clots. Continued to bleed for about 5 days after that. Dr told me some people have chronic bleeding. It's not common but a reality for some. It's their normal to bleed during the entire duration of their pregnancy. I haven't bled sense but it's defiantly something that happens to some. Good luck and hoping you have a wonderful rest of your pregnancy.
  • I'm 12 weeks and have been bleeding since I was 8 weeks. I have low progesterone. I am taking progesterone now. At a round 12 to 14 weeks your placenta starts helping make progesterone. My spotting has gone from every day to every other or so. Good luck! Hope this helps!
