2nd pregnancy- when might you feel the baby move?

hi ladies! I'm just curious for those of you who have had multiple children. When did you start to feel the second move? I've heard that it can be earlier than the first.

Re: 2nd pregnancy- when might you feel the baby move?

  • My first around 18 weeks, second around 14-15 weeks and this pregnancy (15wks today) I've been feeling the baby for about a week or so now.

  • My 2nd was around 16 weeks
  • You should feel your baby's first movements, called "quickening," between weeks 16 and 25 of your pregnancy. If this is your first pregnancy, you may not feel your baby move until closer to 25 weeks. By the second pregnancy, some women start to feel movements as early as 13 weeks.

Read that info today. STM as early as 13 weeks! How exciting!
  • I just started to feel the little butterfly flutters about two days ago. I'm 16w today
  • I am 13w6d and have felt a few flutters...I think.

I'm pretty sure I've been feeling baby and I'm 15 weeks, second time mom.
  • Thank you ladies! I popped out today which is 5 weeks earlier than last time. Eager to feel her move so I know she is ok!

My first was at 17w and this one at 12/13w! :)

ETA: although with my first once I felt her I felt it pretty much nonstop and this one has just been a kick or two randomly and then nothing for a while. Can't wait for it to be more frequent. :)
  • I don't remember with my first, but I distinctly remember it with my second because I was 14 weeks exactly, abd I remember being very surprised! Such an exciting reminder that there's a real person in there!

I didn't feel anything until 16 or 17 weeks with my first. I am 12 weeks and 4 days and I felt my first flutter last night :) I thought I was going crazy and posted in here :)
  • Second time around and I felt mine like 6 weeks earlier! Not much in the beginning but more n more as time goes on :)
  • My first one was closer to 13 weeks. I remember it because I ended up with pretty wicked food poisoning two days later and then didn't feel a thing. This time, I'm at 15 weeks and haven't felt anything yet. Which worries me a bit, even though I know everything should be okay.

  • I felt baby today for the first time at 15w3d. Second time mom and it's earlier than last time. Little flickering that I probably wouldn't have noticed the first time around.
  • I felt my first at 15 weeks and have felt this one since 12 weeks!
  • If you have an anterior placenta it won't be until much later, so try not to worry if you don't feel yours when everyone else does.
