Hello out there

Not sure who is still around, but I tried following link to other page where everybody went and it wasn't iPhone friendly and I couldn't get there easily. So here I am. Looking to see if there are still people here or if everybody has jumped ship.

Our twin boys are now 4 months old. :). Starting to talk about when to try for number 3.

10 medicated IUI's (3 with injectables).
IUI #1 (medicated) Jan. 2013-BFP!!!!- Beta's didn't double, MTX shot for possible ectopic.
8 IUI's between April 13-April 14 = BFN
IUI #10 and final before IVF, injectables May 2014- BFP!!!!  TWINS!!!!

7 week ultrasound showed 2 wonderful heartbeats!
8 weeks to the ER with vaginal bleeding while on vacations!  Diagnosed SubChorionic Hemorrhage.  Babies are both great.
9 week ultrasound showed both babies are still great.

Hey y'all! I'm trying to conceive for the first time, about to gear up for my second IUI. Between the IUI and the ovulation stimulation drugs we're using (since my bloodwork shows low reserve), my wife and I tease each other that we'll totally end up with twins. Which feels like it could be overwhelming, but also amazing.

Was it instant madhouse, bringing home two babies at once? Or easier than you expected?

(I would be delighted with one baby, or two babies!)
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • Hi there, new to bump, my wife and I have been seeing a fertility specialist for the past 2 months getting things in order. Last step is to choose the donor and will be trying our first IUI at the end of June! My wife is up first :)
  • @KLake42 for us bringing home 2 was surreal, a joy, and what seemed to be 'easier' than expected..... But we had just spent 8 days in hospital with it being full on there with tests and bloods needing to be taken from two newborns constantly. It soon turned into a madhouse though! Although now a more predictable madhouse!.

It's lovely having two!... Defiantly double the pleasure!

Good luck with the IUI and your journey to conceive. The two baby thing can totally happen!

  • My wife and I are expecting our first baby on Halloween!

I tried the other board and even downloaded the app but it's not easy to navigate. Hopefully this picks up soon!

Glad to see people posting! I check fairly regularly.
  • Hi guys :)
Our first was born January this year - a beautiful bubba boy! Which my partner carried.
I'm now 16 weeks with our second.

Are we the only ones crazy enough to plan having two under one? We always wanted them close so they can have each other :) We used the same donor too.

    Very excited :)

I don't think it's crazy.  I have this idea that with medicated IUIs, we have to be prepared for twins.  If we get just one, then we are either going to decide to stick with one, or get working on a sibling immediately, due to our ages (I'm 38, she's 36).

  • My partner and I also have twin girls! They just turned 4 last week. I just found out that I'm pregnant again. I think it's one, but we won't know for sure until June 30th at the first ultrasound!
