Urgh. The world is a smelly place.

I remember this symptom from last time, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.... Everything and everyone smells so distinct. I can walk in a room and smell
30 different perfumes, 6 different gum flavors, 3 people with bad breath, people's deodorant, people's lack of deodorant- and everything everyone ate for lunch.
And it makes me want to vomit.
:-(
Anyone with me?

    Ugh. Yes. It's awful how smelly ANY dirty dish has become, the candles in my house are all of a sudden disgustingly sweet, and you can forget the smell of anyone that's not freshly showered and/or deodorized.  
    On the plus side though, we have a few flowered plants on our back patio that all of a sudden smell nice when they previously didn't smell at all.

    I have the opposite problem...where I work people are warming up food all day. Even if I just ate, I am instantly RAVENOUS. Except women's perfume...not sure if it's me or them, but I want to tell women everywhere to stop wasting their money on stuff that smells like crap!

    Ugh yes i was at the grocery store yesterday and a man walked by that smelled like he had not showered in wks. I was holding back the gagging and beelining it to another aisle!

    Totally! I smelt fried chicken in the movies and my mouth was watering. My husband was like you are nuts lady. Haha it was the weirdest thing. Maybe someone did bring chicken in?hmmmmm

    This. Post. My dog is 7 and all of a sudden he is the worst smelling dog in the world. Hubs has given him 2 baths already. Yesterday I stopped at subway to get my mom a sandwich... Gross! Everything smelled awful.

    Don't even get me started on the olio of smells I work with...

    Absolutely! As a matter of fact, I recently noticed that I try to breathe less. I hold my breath when I walk past strangers lol

    Same exact thought today! I was at the Timbers game and could smell everything from perfume and sunscreen to *warning-super gross* body odor and vomit. Then the two gals in front of us were eating popcorn, rope licorice and hot dogs with sour kraut. Smells, smelly, smells!
    Couldn't eat all evening. Blech!

    Totally! I went to get my eyebrows waxed yesterday. I usually go to the same nail salon near my house but I walked in and it smelled so bad that I walked right out. I never realized how bad the ventilation was in there. Luckily, there is another place nearby and it was ventilated really well.

    I was just thinking about this! It makes me feel bad for dogs that have this sensitive of a nose all the time. Poor puppies.
    I am 27, DH is 26.
    We have been married since September 28, 2013.
    We had our first child, Zoey, February 7, 2016.

    I told my husband to wash his feet the other day. He couldn't smell them. I can't stand by the deli counter at the grocery store without feeling like I'm going to throw up everywhere.

    When I walk by the sealed packages of Feta at my grocery store I can smell the feta. I love feta but it's so weird. Ninja nose.

    I work at an infant daycare...just imagine changing the dirty diapers that I have to change all day. Oh its the worst. My eyes water and I'm gagging while wiping this kids ass. Im always in the 1 to 2 yr old room. It's awful.

    This is going to sound crazy, but I smell things that people don't ALL of the time (even before I got pregnant). It's a curse, but there are some smells that make me especially want to gag right now!

    We recently moved to a new country and everything smells so distinct, I can't stand it. There are cute bakerys on every corner but the smell of bread makes me gag.
    I don't remember having such a strong reaction to smells with my first pregnancy. It's terrible.

    Yeah, what's up with grocery store customers not using deodorant???

    I'm hoping heightened smell has some major evolutionary advantage that has to do with us mamas being able to avoid spoiled food, because if it doesn't I'm going to break something - and start carrying extra sticks of deodorant to hand out to people.

    Omw I am right there with you!! Thankfully no smell has made me sick but some stuff is just stank! I didn't have this symptom with my first. We picked up some chicken to take to a family dinner today and I felt like I had 2 drum sticks shoved up my nose! Ugh so stinky! Needless to say I didn't have chicken at lunch. Then, my nephew who is potty training; UGH!!!!! Love him but ugh!!

    Oh good, I'm not alone. My husband thinks its a super power, like a blood hound. I think it's more like kryptonite at every corner. And grocery shopping is the worst!

    Haha YES. I was sensitive before but now WOW. Husband got home after work and I asked if he had pumped gas, he said he had done it first thing in the morning. He couldn't believe I smelled it. He also made the blood hound comment lol.
    I'm not a fan of this "gift".

    Took the words out of my mouth! Everyday at work around noon, I want to scream that all food must be eaten in designated break rooms - NOT at people's desks. The smell of 20+ folks heating up & eating lunch at their desk is suddenly beyond gross! Had to opt out of a meeting in close quarters because one of the attendees DROWNS himself in the FUNKIEST cologne. Not to mention the coffee aromas. And don't get me started on the restrooms. Still trying to figure out how some of those ladies can be SO funky! Try to remind myself that my smellers are on steroids right now ;-)

    @prego209 coffee smells are the WORST because they SMELL SO GOOD AND I WANT IT SO BAD!!! I'm holding off during the first tri. So far so good but aaaaaah!

    Right? The other day I smelled Vicks Vapor Rub like all day, and the next was chocolate muffins and they were nowhere to be found!

    Omg it's shockin it's like I can smell someone's perfume from 20 ft away and its strong and I am the blunt one to yell it out lol " can anyone else smell that "
