Accidental cut inside vagina... Tetanus shot??

So the moments I wasn't crying in pain I've been laughing at how ridiculous this is. I went to sit/squat next to my husband to show him something while he was on the floor. I didn't notice open door to our dogs crate behind me andddd exactly how horrible you can picture what happened next actually happened. I sat and the corner / open latch went right "there" ... After crying while trying to explain the situation to him I had to have him look and he saw a gash up inside my vagina. It's bleeding a little bit and now I'm not sure what to do. Do I need a tetanus shot or something? Safe to wait to morning for doctor? It's kinda as painful as you'd expect.

    That sounds awful oh my gosh I'm sorry!!! I'd probably want to be seen by my regular dr asap, tetanus or not you don't want an infection.

    Just ouch! I cringed when I read that! Definitely call your doctor. In the mean time, as PPs have said, clean it out as best as you can with some warm water and try to get it to stop bleeding. You might also want to use a panty liner or a pad just in case. Good luck and hopefully it stops hurting soon!

    Ouch! I have no advice besides take it easy. Double ouch! I hope you heal up soon.

    Oh sweet lord.  Between this and the member with bleeding nipples, I think I will just bubble wrap myself for the next few months.  Sorry I have no clue where to even begin for advice here.  Maybe just call your doctor and see what they say???

    If you've had a tetanus booster in the last 5 years, you're good to go. If not, check with Dr.

    That is some serious talent to hurt yourself that way!

    I volunteer at an animal shelter and they recommend a tetanus shot every 10 years, but the few puncture wounds we have had the er or urgent care always gave them another tetanus shot just to be on the safe side.
    Does your health insurance offer a nurses line? They can tell you if there is any additional risk from your unusual injury. Or as PP have said call your dr once he is open.

    Ouch. You should definitely check with your doctor, she may examine to make sure it's all good. The shot won't be needed if you have had it recently but she may give you some antibiotics if you need it of course.
    The best thing is to keep it clean and to check with your doctor.

    I'm alternating between cringing for you, and hysterical laughter. I'm so sorry! I hate to laugh at your vagina's expense! I tried explaining to my husband what I was reading and couldn't get through without breaking into laughter. I'm curious to know what your doctor said! Hoping for comfort for you today!!

    Omg me too, I'm so sorry, I am cringing but laughing hysterically at the same time at some of the meme's and comments, my 6 yr old thinks I've gone cookoo!!!! I hope you feel better!!!!

    Ooh! I did something similar to that. I just got out of the shower and bent down to pick something up. I didn't realize the drawer behind me was open and I hit the corner between my butthole and my tail bone! It hurt so bad! My SO laughed at me for a couple of weeks.. Now, in the vag... Double ouch! Hope your healing quick!!
