Weight for the baby

So I had my 34th week appointment the otherday and the doctor could feel that the baby was diagonal and not quite head down yet. She did tell me though that she could tell he was pretty long already and that she thinks he could get to ten pounds or a little more when I have him which makes me worried. She scheduled an ultrasound for me on thursday to see where he's at right now. Did any of your doctor's tell you that your baby might get up to 10 pounds or more and when you did have them were they actually 10 pounds?

    Doctors AND ultrasounds are notorious for being wrong about the baby's birth weight. I was told my first kid would be 7 pounds, based off the U/S and he was 9 pounds. I was told my 2nd would be OVER 9 pounds and she was right at 9lbs.

    Try not to stress it. The baby will come out one way or another :)

    Ultrasounds are just estimates and they can be notoriously off, especially as you get later in your pregnancy. My SIL was told she was having a 9 pounder the week before she delivered and he was barely 7 when he came out.
