Spectra s2 double electric breast pump

Has anyone ever heard of this pump? Or do you have one? It seems like a great deal on groupon but I'm weary. I never pumped with my first, so I don't know what to look for in a pump. Thoughts?

Re: Spectra s2 double electric breast pump

  • It has a ton of great reviews on amazon as well as baby gear lab. It's the one I plan on getting through my insurance. I think the S1 is better because of the battery and all but it's also twice the price. You can get it for only $113 through slick deals. If I wasn't getting one for free I would jump on it.

  • @willashbaby how did you go about checking to see if a breast pump was covered by your insurance? I know everyones is different but did you call ?
  • @abbi1995 You can call or look it up in your insurance manual (if you have one). Calling's probably fastest.

  • @abbi1995 per obamacare stuff, I'm pretty sure all insurance companies have to offer a single electric for free! Although, a ton of companies allow you to get the double electric pump without paying the difference.
  • I checked the website for my insurance. I have to get a script from my doctor in the third trimester and then go through one of their pre approved providers.
  • My doctor wrote a script at hospital after I delivered and sent to my insurance and pump was at my house the day I discharged home. I got a double electric Medela
  • I've used only the First Years Breastflow MiPump Double (and it's predecessors) since 2001. I responded to it just fine, in fact, I liked it more than the high-end hospital-grade one the lactation clinic provided. I was active-duty and on 24hr shifts. Point being, you don't always need top of the line, and getting replacement parts is more expedient.
