I know that weight is not supposed to be spoken about but I keep on seeing post that girls are not gaining any weight. I gained 16 pounds, I have always been considered thin so it is not that I am naturally an over eater but I am freaking hungry. Can someone reassure me that I am not just being very indulgent?
Re: anyone else gain a lot of weight
I kid, I kid!!!
Everyone is different. If your doctor, isn't lecturing you then don't worry!

I tend to gain a lot when I'm pregnant, but I was borderline underweight before getting pregnant, so I figure I just need to gain more than other ladies.
I actually gained (gasp!) 49 pounds with my first pregnancy. The baby was an average size and I lost all of the weight within 6 or so months.
Just try to make healthy choices with your eating (for the most part), and you'll be fine! There's not really a lot you can do. If you're hungry, you really should eat.
I gained 16lbs very quicky, and now, by week 20...it hasn't stalled but has definatley slowed down.
I think honestly, for me, I ate because I was nervous of being pregnant, and now I'm eating to satisfy my hunger so maybe thats why I gained fast early in my pregnancy.
As long as your doctor is doing weight checks, and isn't telling you anything to be concerned about, you should be fine. Every woman is different remember, some gain a ton (60lbs) during their pregnancy, and some gain an average weight (25-35lbs).
Not every woman is affected the same during pregnancy - everyone is different.
I'm naturally thin also and I gained over 60lbs with my first. At first my doc said it was normal for thin girls to gain more weight because your body needs the extra energy but toward the end when I was gaining like 7lbs a week she got a little more concerned. lol I was eating anything and everything that sounded good to me. I lost all of my weight plus some in 10 months without diet or exercise.
I learned my lesson though and don't want to be as big this time so instead of eating fries I grab a banana.
Although I miss eating whatever I feel like I'm 9lbs lighter at this point in my PG than I was with the last.
