New Job, New Insurance (hopefully)

So Dh has a job interview on Thursday, and he got the interview through knowing someone higher up in the organization, so we have fingers crossed!  My first appointment with the dr. office is also Thursday (peeing on a stick for the nurse practitioner) and seeing the dr for the first time next week.  My mom brought up a good point, if DH gets the new job, that will mean new insurance.  Wondering if I should hold off my dr. appointments until we find out what's going on with his job?

  • I would ask other people who work in the same company what the benefits are like first. You don't want to wait and find out that the benefits you have now are actually better. That being said, you also don't really know how long it will take for them to get back to him after the interview. So it's up to you.

  • It should be fine. Many women switch insurance (I'll be switching in November) and it's not a huge deal to switch practices mid-pregnancy if you have to.
