3rd Trimester

Pelvic Pain

For weeks I've randomly had pelvic pain which shoots all the way from the top of the pelvic bone to the lady bits and feels like a battle axe.  However, for the past several days, it's been almost constant, being brought on by any slight movement.  The only time the pain goes away all together is when I'm relaxing in the pool. I'm due July 20th, but my baby's been trying to come early for a while now.  Who else has had this problem?  Any clue what's going on? Googling pains when you're pregnant never ends well.

I had this with my pregnacy.
It's the baby pushing down on a nerve. And more he/she drops you will problem feel them more regular.
Even tho the baby has dropped doesn't mean they will be here early. But LO was really low down for weeks and weeks before he made a appearance.
There's nothing you can do for the sharp pains. Because just your little one playing little games in your tummy.
    Good luck

  • The pains "down there" are from the baby's head or other body part resting on a nerve and/or your cervix. Don't be alarmed, it is completely normal. Try switching positions if you are laying or sitting down. If it happens when you are walking, just slow down a bit.

    Take care!
  • If the pain radiates from the center of your pelvic bone, it's probably your pelvic joint loosening. Mine started doing it around 28 weeks and it's been excruciating. My OB says because this is my second pregnancy, the hormones have started surging earlier than the first pregnancy, which is pretty common. The hormone Relaxin is to blame apparently. I feel the discomfort when I get in and out of bed, sit or stand up some times, just generally whenever I spread my legs and place weight unevenly on my legs, causing that pelvic joint to shift unevenly. I'm 36 weeks now and since my baby is descending lower into my pelvic area, it's gotten worse! Hope yours eases up soon. I'm looking forward to giving birth and having this go away soon after!
