Follow-up

Hey all. I am home. I went in to the hospital yesterday morning and went into the OR at 11am sharp. They were in for about an hour and a half. The surgeon said he found a whole cavity of scar tissue in the upper cavity of my uterus, so he thinks it is still from the D&C, not new. He said with all the tissue they removed in January, this was likely missed because it was so far up. He also said that there was visible blood behind the scar cavity which means that my body is at least partially doing what it is supposed to.

He implanted a Cook catheter inside my uterus. It is shaped like a V so it fits the uterus more closely than the Foley bulb they left inside last time. His plan is to leave it in for 2ish weeks. I go in for a follow-up in a week, so likely the 23rd since he only has office hours on T&R. Then I go to the RE in 2 weeks. The RE will remove the Cook and do a mock transfer at the same time. His hope is that the mock transfer will wash the uterus and keep everything clean inside. FX.

I came home yesterday and headed straight to bed. When DH picked L up from daycare, she came in to cuddle with me. Then we got up and had dinner. And I promptly fell back asleep on the couch. Ha! DH is going to pick up my meds this morning. The tylenol is not cutting it and I don't really want to dig into my stash from the last surgery since it is strong. I will save that for bedtime.

Kid #1 - 09/03/12
Kid #2 - maybe???
Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans
Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
#11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh

I am feeling okay so far. I had super high hopes after the January surgery, so I am a little more apprehensive this time. It is nice to know that there was blood up there, I was positive that my body didn't know how to cycle anymore.

This insert is a LOT less intrusive than the last, so that is nice. The last one had an 8" long tube with a plastic glove to attached to catch any blood. This one only sticks out about an inch or 2 so that is nice - I will at least be able to wear pants this time.
