Hi ladies,
So, I have four weeks left of this ride called pregnancy, and I'll be needing someone to volunteer to take over the weekly check-in thread. It's really pretty easy, though I will admit that coming up with QOTW has started to get kinda tough, lol. Any volunteers?

Feeling pretty well...coping well with what isn't great. Even was asked by my OB this past appt. what my secrect was, why I was always so happy cheerful looking and never tired or down.

Weekly appt.
Rants: This past week my oven broke. I was sort of expecting it to happen soon...but it was sooner than I thought. Had to buy a new. We are still waiting on delivery. I am sorta blah about cooking right now anyways and trying to cook for my large crowd daily without and oven is not thrilling me!
My hips have been really popping out of place lately. Too much relaxin!
I have been asking my husband to retrieve the infant carseat from the dark damp corner of the garage where he decided to stash it some time ago. He never did. I went and got it out....only to find that damp dark corner totally made it mold like crazy. It was so nasty I nearly freaked. So that is garbage. My husband says just wipe it down it will be fine...no way I am putting my child in a mold seat!!! My husband never worries about stuff like mold, or burning dump things like plastic or oil. Or spraying chemicals. Makes me soooo mad. Anyways had to order a new one. So top of the line Britax on order. HOpe it gets here before baby.
My husband is going out of town my due date week! He says he will only be 3 hours away whats the big deal. I think he is hoping to miss it. He hates when he has to miss sleep or even a meal because I am in labor.
Rave: Once my oven gets here I will have the top of the line LG double oven with convection...all the bells and whistles to play with! Looking forward to a graduation party next weekend.
I made two outfits for baby. Will try to post pics. Plus have another started. Feeling productive.

I like babies to dress very "babyish". So I like pastels and like more old fashion classic type styles rather than little man looking things or mini versions of adult clothing. Love things like smocking and embroidery.

Three cats who are totallly LOVING our new house! We have so much more space, especially since we are minus a person and two dogs.
4. How are you feeling? Any recommendations for dealing with MS, aches, pains, etc?
The other night was really bad. I think it was indigestion, but it could have been something else. I can't really tell if I am getting any Braxton Hicks. Is that weird? Pregnancy-wise I have been feeling pretty okay, except for swelling and tingling of the hands and feet. Have been a little tired, but that's mostly due to the move.

Had an appointment Friday. Had the NST. Everything looks good. Cervix is closed. Baby is head down, but doc said she wouldn't know it if it weren't for the ultra sound. Baby hasn't moved down at all. Doc mentioned my small peivis (third doc in the practice to do so) and said that might be a reason baby hasn't moved down yet. (I thought it was because I still have four weeks to go.) Anyway, I feel like they are prepping me for a C-section. I read stories about other ladies in similiar positions, some who did vaginal births anyway, some who pushed for four hours and had emergency C-sections and some who scheduled C-sections. So, yeah, I dunno what's gonna happen. I guess I will just wait and see as a lot can happen in four weeks, right?

I was originally gonna do the nursery in orange and pink, but my pattern was discontinued, so I am going traditional pink with jungle theme. As far as clothing, I like pink, but I like other colors, too. I guess as long as it's cute, it's a go, lol.

4. How are you feeling? Any recommendations for dealing with MS, aches, pains, etc? Feeling ok, finding that the summer heat is really starting to get to me.. it's going to be a long July & August! Feeling a little limited in what I can do with DS these days, and already feeling guilty.
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves? Appt next week and GD testing. Not much else going on, I'm afraid to jinx myself but so far this has been a quiet pregnancy. My blood pressure has been excellent which is a surprise!

Hmm, it's not all that easy to find non traditional gender colors I've found, but I'm open to anything really. Baby will stay with us until she's old enough to share a room with DS, so for now I think we may just decorate her crib area with some cute photos or wall decals..

Well, the Dr had told me WAY back at the beginning my EDD was 6/18, so that's what I've been going with, but at my appt on Friday they said it's listed as 6/16 all over my chart. So... Due tomorrow? Or the 18th. Doesn't matter. Essentially 40 weeks. Watermelon? Jackfruit? Regular baby size

Pressure in my girly bits and just a general discomfort in my entire groin area - like I've been using a thigh master for ages

Next appt is this Thursday, and I am having the feeling that they will want to induce me the following day or at the latest Monday. I guess my drs don't want AMA women to go very far past their DD, so...? Nothing is set in stone but I've had 2 drs out of 3 give me the talk about Friday, so I'm pretty sure when I see the next one this week I'll get the same talk.

Rave - my mom will be here to visit and help on 7/6, I'm looking forward to seeing her

I can't really do the nursery in any colors because the previous owners put seriously smurfette pink carpet in there, and we can't afford to put new in. I'm going to cover it with as much of a beige rug as I can, but the pink will still show at the edges of the room. Otherwise I am trying to stick with greens and browns (I'm team green) because I have a woodland theme in general. Same for clothes - whether I have a boy or a girl, I'm going to try to not have stuff that's too boyish or girly. At least, not until the kid can have a preference of their own and make it known.

4. How are you feeling? Pretty good so far! Any recommendations for dealing with MS, aches, pains, etc? I recently started wearing compression socks to help the swelling in my feet and ankles.
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Have my 1-hr glucose test in a week. Rants or raves? Rave: I bought some Burt's Bees rosemary and peppermint lotion and it makes my legs and feet feel tingly and cool. It's supposed to help circulation and o have no idea if it works, but it really feels like my legs "wake up" when I use it.
QOTW: Besides the typical blue and pink, what colors do you like for baby? I love Aqua, even though we're having a girl. Is anyone planning to do a nursery in a different color? I want to do the nursery in Aqua and Coral. What about clothes? I've bought a lot of shades of blue and teal and not as much pink. Any color favorites for LO? If she has skin like me, she'll look good in red and navy. If she takes after my husband, she'll look good in blues and greens.
