I finally got the courage to tell my mom that I'm pregnant. In the past, it hasn't gone very well, she gets angry and doesn't talk to me for weeks. It is ridiculous, I am married!!! Anyways, I told her and I was very enthusiastic about it, and right before we hung up, I noticed she was crying!!! What in the what? Now she won't text back, answer my daughters facetimes or calls.

So mean, if she's mad, she could at least not bring the babies into it.

I really don't get her.

I haven't really talked to my parents or ILs since we told them. It sucks and it's clear they aren't super happy. I'm sorry you're going through this.

(Keep me in your prayers as we're having lunch with ILs tomorrow and it's going to take a lot of willpower not to slap someone)

I really don't understand why people, esp. Family get like that. It is a happy time!

We moved across country from our family due to DH job. I'm glad we didn't get a nice reaction from our families with our last one (3rd) I just had major back surgery so we KNOW they will be negative. We don't plan on telling them till we have ro or our oldest slips and says something (she will be 6 when baby is due) I can't hide it from her after I start showing. She is way to smart. Our goal is not to tell them till I'm 30 plus weeks which is fine with me as long as they don't want to come visit this summer. My girls are back there right now and I'm early enough that I won't be showing when I pick them up in In a few weeks

I'm so sorry for those of you with downer families. We are in the same boat and I know how much it sucks. I am already dreading telling our families and I know we will be waiting as long as possible.

I am dreading the holidays the most since I know I will be overwhelmed, exhausted and hormonal and will need to keep things happy for my boys. Why does extended family think they even get an opinion? We are married, happy, and financially independent. What exactly is the issue here?

Why do family's get so upset these days. I dread telling my mom she's not going to be happy. She takes the stress out on herself when I'm not even asking for help! One things for sure we are happy for you!

I'm in the same boat.. I am currently traveling home to see my family, which I only do once each year, and I have to tell them. I am so anxious I'm making myself sick!
