36 wk ultrasound_ baby sticking tongue in and out

at my ultrasound my baby was constantly sticking her tongue in and out. They tech smiled when she pointed it out. The baby did it for the entire 5 - 10 minutes we were in there. Did anyone else's baby do this? I'm assuming she was just tasting the amniotic fluid as I had just had a sweet drink 30 min before. Any thoughts?

That's super cute! My LO has been pretty chill at our ultrasounds. You're probably right about her tasting fluid. Or she just discovered her tongue and was trying to figure out what it's for lol.

Our little guy did it a lot too. This was at 30 weeks. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and he is always sticking his tongue out. Tech said good luck keeping up feeding him
