Total AW - stranded in Toronto overnight

my flight from London was delayed and arrived in Toronto 1.5 hours late so I missed my connection to Fredericton. I'm now on the 8:15 am flight tomorrow morning.

And because it was weather related, Air Canada won't get me a hotel room.

    And they know you're pregnant?!

    That's a bunch of BS. But at the same time, it's the weather, what can they do? Sorry to hear!

    Welcome to my city! I'm surprised that Air Canada isn't getting you a room. Every time I've heard of someone getting stranded for weather related reasons, they have been comp'ed a hotel for the night. Sorry the airline is being difficult. :( Let me know if you want suggestions for places to go/things to do tonight. :)

    Sorry!  sometimes travel is more stressful than it needs to be!  Go get yourself a room at a nice hotel and order room service :)

    That sucks.  Have you tried going to a different gate agent or calling their customer service line?  Sometimes it's all about who you talk to.

    They said because I refused the 11pm flight they were transferring me to and asked for the first flight the next morning they wouldn't get a hotel for me.

    There was no way after a 9 hour flight I was sitting in the airport for another 6 hours then doing a 2 hours flight plus a 1 hour drive. I'd have got there at 2am, 24 hours in total. Nope!

    Luckily I was able to find a friend to stay with downtown, which ended up being a really nice evening.
