okay ladies sadly I have to switch mostly to formula due to low supply but it's just so darn expensive. Tell me your secrets, where do you buy, coupons, discounts etc. thanks!!
I use Similac, but Enfamil does the same thing. Sign up on their web site and they will send you checks. If others don't mind, have them sign up as well (your mom/sister/etc). I buy it at Costco and they will let you use checks, but not coupons.
I get coupons in the mail after I registered for their program. Same with Similac. My LO has been on Similac as a supplement since day 5. I still get Enfamil coupons, but my cousin's LO (who is the same age) uses it, which works out perfectly.
If you like enfamil and are leaning that way. The Walmart brand has a formula called parents choice infant..it's almost identical to the enfamil infant and way cheaper. There is just a slight difference in the protein and carbs. Literally only a .1 and .3 difference. I switched to it and never noticed any difference in my LO. At my local Walmart you get a 35oz tub for 20.00 where as the enfamil comparison is 25.00 for a 22oz tub. I don't know how true it is but someone told me that the Kirkland brand from costco is really simular to similac. I haven't compared the ingredients though because my guy spit up a lot on the similac. Oh and you can usually get samples from your pediatrician to help you choose what works best for you...honestly though I would just pick one and if your LO does fine with it I wouldn't experiment further good luck!
Ditto on the generics.. when I sun ot of our Similac sensitive samples I'm going to try it. I've researched quite a bit and nobody has ever noticed a difference. Ask your pediatrician about samples. Mine is awesome and i haven't even had to ask, but she's given me samples every time we've gone.
I signed up my family members for coupons. Just use a different email & home address .... Also doctors offices have coupons on the counter. I take a few each time in there.
I signed up for the similac thing in March and it came in like 3 days before my baby was born (May 24th).
If you registered at Babies R Us if you go to the store they should give you a welcome gift bag and mine had an 8 pack of the enfamil newborn nursette bottles.
I went to a pregnancy/baby expo and enfamil was handing out flyers with a code for a free case of formula. I don't know where else you would get the code, maybe your Drs office? The number to call is 1-855-263-9267, but like I said you need a code.
I heard about the expo right here on one of the message boards. Sorry I don't really know where else to find them. It was a nice coincidence, I live in Florida and they were doing an expo where they also were trying to break the Guinness world record for the number of pregnant women in one place. We already had plans to be in that area on that day so we just dropped by.
