I keep falling asleep on my left side, but when I wake up I'm almost completely on my stomach. Is this ok? How do yall sleep? I keep tossing and turning all night.
I am on my second pregnancy and I am a total tummy sleeper. Trust me, when you're making the baby uncomfortable, the baby will let you know! My DD used to wake me up when I rolled over on her. No matter what you do, from the time they're big enough to feel it's uncomfortable to them, they will make you uncomfortable so you'll move. Sleep any way you can because that soon will be gone.
I sleep on my stomach too. I very rarely fall asleep on my side and never my back. So when it comes to the point that I physically can no longer do this I think sleeping will be a nightmare for me too
That's funny I was just saying to DH how odd it is. I have totally stopped sleeping in my tummy the last 3 years. But ever since getting pregnant I keep waking up on my tummy. I also fall asleep on my back or side. Happy to know it's normal. I assume at some point it will become uncomfortable and it will stop happening.
I am the opposite from most of you ladies lol. I am not a back sleeper at all, even when I was a youngster, but I sleep on my side so much, I wake up feeling like my arm is going to fall off (and yes half of the time I wake up on my tummy). Tummy sleeping is fine for now, but obviously not when baby is getting bigger. I might invest in one of those pregnancy pillows (I cannot remember the name for the life of me). I believe they're mainly for side sleeping and it supports your big belly when you get farther along. I need something to save my achey shoulders.
I did ask my boss this question too and she said the same thing, enjoy it as long as you can! I was just nervous. I'm not usually a stomach sleeper so it was odd. I'm a back sleeper or side sleeper.
I am a total belly sleeper! Do it until if feels uncomfortable. That's what my sister's doctor told her and what I did with my first. As soon as I got home from the hospital I got in bed and stretched out on my stomach. It was Ah-maze-ing!! Maybe this time around I'll try this
