Can I stay? Pleaseeeee?

Hey ladies,

I just had my first appointment and thought I was 6w2d based on FF and when I o'd. I was able to get an ultrasound at the appt (wasn't sure if I'd have to come back) and I am actually measuring 6w4d and got to see baby's heartbeat!! My dr. wants to keep my EDD based on my LMP, which is only one day off from the dating ultrasound. Soooo, my new EDD is 1/29/16. I'd really like to stick around here since I've gotten to know some of you ladies....can I stay???

I was almost two weeks late with DS but VERY involved in my BMB so I call myself an S13-er even though I'm technically an O-13er.

You may want to join January's board just in case you end up early. Some of the mamas on my last bmb were on 2 for a while because of this.

my DD was 10 days late. Its tough when you are on the borderline of a month because you can deliver early or late. I say its up to you

Stay! A due date is nothing but an estimate anyway!

DD1 was due June 5th (so I was on the J14 BMB), but she was actually born at the end of May

Oh, I forgot one other reason for you to stay: it's more fun being ahead of everyone than way behind, IME. Being due the 27th meant that I felt totally out of the loop because sometimes it was 3-4 weeks before discussions were relevant for me. AND! You have to sit through literally hundreds of birth stories and see millions of cute squish pictures while you're STILL WAITING for your own baby. Torture!

(If you can't tell, my baby was LITERALLY the last one born on my board. Not counting random drive bys that were never there. Being the only reg still pregnant = no. fun.)

AGREED. My baby was one of the first born; I couldn't imagine being on the other side of that fence. Even though there aren't as many people going through what you are (as you're the first to do things), there are enough STMs/BTDT that can answer a lot of questions.

Okay - yay, thanks for the support ladies!!! \:D/ I really enjoy this bmb board and don't feel a need to make any new friends on the January board... (though I'm sure they are just as wonderful).

My edd based on my period is 1-28 but I'm a late ovulater. If I calc my edd on my estimated O date I'm early Feb. By the time I got on the boards Jan was already well established. I am spending times in both groups but I like it here better

We have several borderline edds here so I vote stay but I've also seen some borderline mommies bounce back and forth since as pp said your edd is only an estimate. You may go early, you may go late.

In my Nov '11 board everyone who started there stayed regardless of when baby was born. WE were the community, just originally brought together by date estimations!

I agree stay! You can also post on both or lurk the other. My son was late October but I liked to lurk September just to see what I could expect. I am excited to have a baby in the early part of the month this time.

Fine... you can stay! But only because 1/29 is my birthday. Otherwise, I say Get The Eff Out!

I am in a similar position. My EDD is 01/31/16 and when I went on the January board I felt a little late to the party (we only found out we are expecting a few days ago) and everyone seemed a lot further along, posting ultrasound pictures and I haven't even been to see a doctor yet. @NutMeg474 we can be the Jan/Feb moms on the board
