frustrated...

I am so tired of being tired! I own my own small business, so I can set my own hours, which is awesome, but I have to be my own boss and keep myself motivated. It's been almost impossible lately. I have been sleeping in until almost 8, and I get tired again around 2. I usally lay down and sleep for another hour or so. And I'm still tired!!! I'm so frustrated that I can't do the things I could do this time last year. I was driven and motivated, now I can barely get by with the minimum. I know I'm growing a human, but I can't help but feel weak and it's starting to get me down. Anybody else feel this way? What are some good tips to motivate/encourage yourself? I just don't know how I'm going to get through the next 8 weeks. I'm so tired of being sore and tired. I know it will be worth it when baby boy gets here, but I'm really struggling! Thanks for letting me rant. :)

Re: frustrated...

  • What kind of business do you own? (Just wondering because that may make a difference in what advice you get) :)

  • I run a small bakery from my inspected kitchen in my home and sell directly at farmer's markets. I love it but it can be physically demanding, being on my feet a lot. I also love gardening, and that's becoming increasingly difficult as bending over and being on my hands and knees is so hard! :-)
  • I love gardening too and I've resorted to sitting on my kneeling pad to pull weeds and moving my 'jabba the hut' butt around the garden :\">

  • You can try coffee. That's what I do. Has your ob checked for anemia?

I know that feeling all to well. Its really draining after a while. You littleraly want to spend the rest of the day sleeping.

I own a small business from home as well- I do pastry catering/events/ etc. I sooo understand what you are going through. I'm used to being on my feet for long hours at a time, late nights, etc. The past couple weeks have been really tough and I just am not able to do what I'm used to. I will be 33 weeks this weekend and I am stopping next week at 34 weeks and will resume after the baby (haven't set any dates). I wanted to keep going longer but my body is saying NO! ha , hang in there and if it is really becoming a struggle and you can financially afford it, stop.  Good luck!

I'm at exactly the same point as you and I know how you are feeling, one bit of advice I was given is don't feel guilty for feeling frustrated it's natural. Take any bit of rest you can and remember you are not super woman.

It's good to know I'm not the only one!! My brain is telling me "come on, you can do it" and my body is like "let me take a nap already!"

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies... we can do it! :-)
