Hello!

I have a question. I didn't get a bfp until 17dpo. I am wondering if anyone else experienced this and continued on with a healthy pregnancy. I've had two miscarriages in the past (2014/2008) and so I am worried that this might not be viable. I am looking for some hope out there among this group.

I am trying really hard to stay positive and waiting for a doctors appointment to confirm a viable pregnancy.

I've never experienced that, but everyone is different. Is it possible you ovulated later than you think you did?

Also, there is a really wide range of what the hCG hormone should be week by week. For example according to American Pregnancy Association the range of normal hCG hormones are:

3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml

You could simply be on the low end of those levels and maybe making it take a little longer for you to get a positive result.

It is possible you ovulated later and that is why you didn't turn a positive until later. Hopefully you dr will be able to give you additional reassurance.
