Cervix shortening

I have an incompetent cervix and lost a baby at 18 weeks because of it so I had a cerclage put in at 13.5 weeks this pregnancy. My cervix checks have showed my cervix went from 3.5 now down to 1cm l have made it to 22 weeks now and just getting more and more worried it seems like. From the get go my high risk doc says every day past 28 weeks will be a miracle. Just looking to see if anyone else has had this issue and made it further than that. I'm so hoping to make it to at least 32 weeks.

    I know exactly what your feeling. I had a emergency cervical cerclage placed at 20 weeks due to my shortening cervix when it was placed i had 1.5cm of cervix left 2 weeks later my cervix funneled all the way to the stitch so i now have 1.3cm left , only thing holding it closed right now is the stitch. I was placed on hospital bedrest at 23 weeks due to spotting and my doctor thought it would have to be removed because of the spotting and risk of it tearing my cervix. All was very scary. I was gave steriod shots at that time just incase i went early. I have also been on progesterone suppositories since my cerclage. I am now 34 and 5 days along and things are going great my bedrest was lifted at 32 weeks and my stitch gets removed in 2 weeks ☺ Dont give up hope just rest do as your doctor says and you will make it ☺

    I know where your at too. I had an emergency cerclage on the day of my 20w u/s. My cervix was 7mm (found to be 1cm dilated when cerclage placed). One week later it was holding at 1.5cm. My MFM said at the time that they were "just trying to get me to 28 w." I hit 29w yesterday. Also on progesterone suppositories. For me the hardest part is all the unknowns. Making plans for summer, constantly wondering, will I still pregnant then? Good luck!!
    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4. PAIF/SAIF welcome
