Impatient!!!!

i can't help but pace back and forth as the minutes go by. I want to go to the doctor constantly and monitor my baby 24/7!! I know I can't do that. I have an appointment in 6 days, but oh my gosh I'm tired of waiting!! Anyone else dying to get into the doc???

Yup! My last appointment was 2 weeks ago and I have to wait till Tuesday to see my babies again. I think that being that it's only the first trimester makes me anxious to see that they are ok

I'm a FTM and I think about this unknown part as training for worrying about them outside of the womb forever. It's nerve wracking. Just the beginning though....

Yes, I don't have another legit appointment until July 7th at 12.5 weeks for both a follow up to the one I had Monday and for downs testing. I wish I could sneak in a 10 weeker! 8w5d today.

Same here! I have my second appointment next week and will be almost 12 weeks at that point. I'm hoping once I'm in the second trimester I won't worry as much. I agree I wish we could monitor all the time lol

I'm right there with you guys. Wishing I could see them every day in real time. I'm 8w 4d and my next appt is July 10th. A month from now. So far!! I keep telling myself as long as I don't have bleeding with cramping then I have nothing to worry about. Of course I'm always nervous when I go to the bathroom and wipe lol. Such a worry wart.

I feel the same way. My dr office wouldn't see my for my first u/s until 10 weeks and when I went in they didn't have the correct materials to do a transvaginal so they did an abdominal but I wasn't allowed to move so I barely saw anything and the doc didn't even give me a picture. So I have to go back 2 weeks from then for my REAL u/s, which is next Friday the 19th. I'll be 12 weeks then. I'm super excited to see my baby but I wish I could see it every day!

This is why I love my Doppler! I know there are mixed feelings on owning/using one, but I love it. I only let myself use it once a week, but that seems to cut down on the feeling of eternity between appointments. I like having something to look forward to every week.

I'm in the UK and you guys over the pond sound like you have far more checks and scans. I'm 10.5 weeks and have had one appointment just over a week ago for blood checks etc but I will be 12 weeks for my scan. I know I had a positive test. I know I haven't had a period. I know I have symptoms (though pretty mild!) but I haven't had any formal Dr thing of yep there is a baby in there! I'm half expecting there not be - but I guess everyone feels like that now and then. Roll on appointment!!!

waited for 4 weeks for my appointment yesterday, and it came and went so quickly now another 4 week wait until i see him again!
this waiting drives me crazy!

@holidayemma im in the uk too 10+1 today. Ive already had 2 scans tho due to previous mc and worryingly similar pains. Can't wait til 12 weeks and the formal booking and scan. must be so difficult to do the 12 week wait with not having seen your baby. But seems its the norm in the US to have earlier scans

I can't wait for my app I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks and I'm 9w 1D and it feels like forever till my next app at 11 weeks especially with all the side affects I want to see the little guy that's putting me through this!!

and was thinking the same, it's not fair over here. I found out at 4 weeks, I'm now 8w6d, had my first midwife appointment this morning, scans booked for 1/7. I can not wait time is just going so slow. Every twinge, toilet trip is a heart stopping moment praying everything's ok. Expecially as I too have mild symptoms. Fingers crossed our beans are ok.

I don't get my FIRST appointment until 7/2 at 10 weeks. So yes, I'm extremely nervous and feeling very impatient as well.

FTM, first appointment today!!!! I don't know how I am going to get through the day!! I am super nervous. I keep telling myself that if I get the aok today, I can relax a little bit, though I don't do relaxing very well in general.

My next appt is 6/29 where I'll be 12w1d. I want to go now!! I do have a doppler but at 9w4d I think I'm still too early to find a heartbeat.

I totally understand. My first "real" appointment with U/S is TOMORROW and the last couple weeks have been an ETERNITY. I'll be 7w6d when they do the scan, so I know I won't be able to see much. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. My symptoms have been pretty mild (but they are definitely there!) but it's still so early it's tough not to worry. At the suggestion of some ladies on here, I read "Panic Free Pregnancy" and it was amazing. Gave me lots of info and questions to ask the doctor tomorrow.

I'm actually surprised at how not worried I am. I have anxiety so I figured I would be a complete mess but so far I'm fine. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I pee and there's no blood but that's about it. That said, I am looking forward to my next appt a week from today. :-)

I am going with a midwife and low interventions, and my very first appt with her I will be 11w3d on June 22. It does feel like an eternity and I sometimes wish I had gotten an earlier scan or bloodwork (for some reason I'm convinced its twins and I just don't know it yet). But for me the benefits of waiting and having everything less medicalized is the right choice, so I know I'll get through the wait. Still deciding if we'll get a 12 week scan or wait until 20. However long you have to wait feels like too long!

I'm being super paranoid because she had symptoms so it was totally unexpected! I feel horrible for her and now I'm scared!

IM so ready to see the doctor they wouldn't let me come in till 8 weeks so I'm 6 weeks and 4 days now and we are going on June 22 also it's our anniversary ! But I'm so ready to shout it from the roof tops but my husband doesn't want to share till we get the doctor to see us at 8 weeks they can hear a heart beat is why they said we had to wait.

I'm right there with you, and this is my 4th time going through it! My 2nd pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage though, so that has shaken up pregnancies since then. Less than a week until my next appointment. Hoping things are going well! Been experiencing a cocktail of symptoms for over a month now and we had a great ultrasound last month, so I feel good that things are going to be okay.

Have you not gotten any bloodwork? This surprises me, since that's pretty standard care with OBs and is how I found out my thyroid is low. It's very common -- and very treatable, but also very dangerous if not caught and treated.

Sorry, not trying to fear-monger. I just don't understand the appeal of "less medicalized" if it's something that could save your baby.

My first appointment was June 1. We had an ultrasound (due to my nerves from previous mcs) and saw a heartbeat. I thought that would calm my nerves, but we had seen a heartbeat with my 2nd miscarriage, and I am sure my first miscarriage had a heartbeat even though we never saw/heard it. (The baby developed to 9 weeks, so I am sure it had a heartbeat.) We don't go back until June 30, and it's killing me! We should be able to hear the heartbeat with the doppler at that appointment, but probably won't have another u/s until the 20 week appointment. I just want to know everything is going ok!

I haven't had my first appointment yet. It's on 6/22 and I'll be 11w1d. I had to wait for the VA clinic to send me a referral. The wait is tough!

I had a dating scan three weeks ago and saw my peanut but I'm going in to my doctor on Tuesday to see if I can go have a 12wk scan... Otherwise I'd have to wait til 18wks and that would drive me nuts!!! I just want to make sure my bub is growing well. I'm really scared cause I have HG and it worries me that bub will be hurt or something from the lack of fluid and nutrients

YES! I'm a FTM and i wish there was a way i can constantly see what's going on with Baby. I'm kind of a worry wart so i just always want to make sure that Baby is fine and healthy and developing properly

I'm also waiting for my first appointment too. June 16 can't some soon enough. This is my first pregnancy so I have no idea what to really expect. It's still unreal to me that I'm actually pregnant. Been waiting over 5 years for this.
